A little DIS History lesson!
Lime green as the DIS color started out about 6 or 7 years ago.Mostly as a ribbon (like the pink for Breast Cancer,Red for AIDS ribbons) to identify fellow DIS Board members. Then people have taken it further by wearing t-shirts,hair bows etc.And grown to where you can purchase items at the DIS SHOP right here:

To add to this, if I meet a fellow Diser on my upcoming trip, is it pronounced Diss' er as in discussion or Diz' er as in Disney?
DIS
is pronounced DIZ-er,like the sound in Disney.
DIS is actually an acronym. When the DIS first began it was called
Disney Information Station...DIS for short.A few years ago (when the Beanie Baby and Disney Beanie craze was going on) the Disney Company began law suits against many, many websites using the word DISNEY in their address as we had here.So before the company came after the DIS our WM Pete changed the address to wdwinfo.com and the Disney Company never bothered us. I remember WM Pete discussing changing the name when all that happened but we were "THE DIS",that was unthinkable... that name had stuck!
As far as the lime green this past summer it has become such a popular color the parks were a sea of it in May!!! But I
did meet a Diser because she had ,the oldie but goodie,
lime green ribbon tied to her backpack.I asked if she visited the DIS and she did!

Small world after all!
