What's with the "Boos"?

I've just noticed (a little slow, I admit), that there are bouncing gold Mickeyheads in some signatures, and a phrase such as "I've been boo-ed". Is there a special significance in this?

Someone started a Halloween PM, and it's been going around like wild fire (I've gotten it about ten times this week). It instructs folks to put a bouncing Mickey pumpkin into their signature.

I thank you, and all the other helpful Disers who have pm-ed me. Unfortunately, I am almost computer-illiterate, and even with instructions, it's a language I don't get. (I don't even know what "cut and paste" or "copy" means if it's in computerese.) But thanks, anyway. (The only way I got those pretty resort icons was by having my daughter do it long-distance, somehow magically linking into my computer.)

You can steal other people pumpkin mickeys if you want to put them in your siggy. This also applies to people who got the email.

Right click on the bouncing mickey
Select "Copy Image"
Go to "Edit Signature" in the Quick Links section
Choose where you want to put it (probably right at the top before everything else) and click on this space
Right click again and select "Paste"
In front of what appears (the URL) type this:

DO NOT use spaces in between the URL and codes
Then Save your siggy and it should be on there.

Again, an enormous thank you to all of you who have pm-ed me. I envy your abilities on the computer.
Unfortunately, I cannot understand any of the instructions (oh, I do understand the words........"copy", "paste", etc.), but I don't know what I have to do to actually do those things.
I appreciate all you wonderfully helpful Dis-ers, but I'm beginning to feel guiltier and guiltier for taking up your time and efforts and not being able to perform.
(At one time, I really was bright! )

Our house got Boo'd this morning. The doorbell rang about 7:00 AM (we were all still asleep) and when DH looked out the window he saw a gold mini-van, but by the time he got to the front door they had left. I went out to get the paper a little later on and there was a bag of treats for us. Still don't know who did it, or why they chose that early in the AM.

Guess it's not the same thing, hun?

Don't give up.............I'm just as computer-challenged, but with the help of some wonderful DISers, I did it. (I still think it was )
You'll start hearing from them soon with directions to walk you through it.

I can't do it that way either, it must be our browsers. I have to copy the entire image link from the PM you got when you got boo'd.

Highlight the pumpkin link from IMG to IMG and right click and hit copy.

Then go to Edit signature in your User CP and simply open your signature window, place your cursor where you want the pumpkin to be and right click your mouse and hit paste.

That should do it.
