We are leaving at the end of the month for our trip to Disneyworld and I have been holding off on exchanging the last of our spending money. Well the dollar was down to .87 cents today. What is going on with the exchange rate and has anyone heard if it plans on rebounding or continuing its downward spiral?

My hubby is a financial advisor and although no one can predict the future his opinion is that the Canadian dollar will weaken and the sooner you exchange your money the better. (As long as commodity prices, such as oil and metals weaken, the Canadian dollar will weaken.)

Winter's Coming!

the $$$ always goes down along with the temps!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think you should buy now. Better safe than sorry!

As someone said, our dollar is dependant on commodities. Since they expect the price of oil to keep dropping, expect the dollar to do the same! Glad I paid off the trip when it was at .89

We've been waiting too all week to get TC for our upcoming trip also, and I figure it's cause I want to buy US $'s and that's why the buck is loosing ground real fast! :rotfl2:

Geesh I bought US for DS's trip just a few weeks ago and got it at $1.11! Guess I should have bought ours then too! :confused3 I called CAA a few days ago and it was $1.15 but it's since dropped again!!!! :furious:

Today there were lower than expected growth numbers out of Ontario. That didn't help. And there's talk that next year by 4th quarter, there will be an interest reduction. That didn't help either.

But it's all to do with speculation of course. Cuz really, who knows!

Should have bought more money during the summer. :(
I checked a couple of times last week and each time the rate increased.
I guess I should buy them some before it increases anymore.
