What's with Le Cellier?

I think that the CP is more the culprit for Nov/Dec time frame then anything else. Last time we went during the Christmas festivity craziness, almost everyone I talked to that night while standing in line waiting to get into CP had dinner at Le Cellier - including us. Yes, the steak was good and the atmosphere was okay but my wife found it a bit claustrophic...the tables are really close (I think, but have no proof they have shoved in a couple more).

Just for the heck of it, I tried to see if there are any openings for the Sept/Oct free dining range of dates and I did hit quite a few openings. Yes most were at 3 to 4 pm, but still, you could get in.

Yes, the CP books up all TS restaurants. I tried to get in on a whim to any of them last year when I was there in Dec. Nothing was available unless you had a reservation.

With approx 3 shows a night, the early seatings start at lunch time. Good business for the restaurants, but bad for anyone else trying to get in.

As for LeCellier - it's very very very small. It probably needs to be at least double the size. IMO.

I have to agree on CP being the issue during that season. With the 190 days (glitch or no glitch?) right now for resort guests, I booked at 5am CT today, so right when December 9th became available. Le Cellier was already completely booked for certain chunks of time that I wouldn't normally consider "prime" dining times.

We did get in at 4:55pm, but I'm wondering if Epcot dinners are insanely rushed during CP (we aren't attending CP) or if we'll be ok. I suppose Le Cellier sells out every single day, so it shouldn't be any different.

I am totally in the same boat for this--we tried to book this restaurant 180 days out (yesterday) and everything was booked. We ended up getting a 9:15pm reservation, which is late for us since we have a 1.5 yr old. But we will suck it up.

What does CP mean? And when do they release those packages? I want to try to call when those are released to see if they have an earlier time. Thanks :)

CP = Candlelight Processional dinner package. They should be announced this summer but the narrators won't be announced until later.

Don't give up! I was just able to book a dinner at Le Cellier for my trip in August :cool1: I have been checking every few days and sure enough it became available.

I got le cellier for lunch and dinner, my 180 days was today. Just a heads up. If you do it online and search for example 12 if only pulls up things CLOSE to that time so it might not pull up 2 or 3. Try different times.

I tried just selecting 'dinner' without a time and still no dice.

I did the same thing, searched for "dinner" and it came up with nothing. Also searched "lunch" and came up with nothing LOL... :(

Will keep trying...thanks so much!

We will be there fron Nov 28 checking out Dec 5th. So one week :) Just couldn't get any reservations LOL...Oh well. I'll try to keep calling periodically. A Candlelight Processional ticket last year for this restaurant was $59.99 a person, so we can't swing that. But I will keep trying!! :)

I am just the kind of person who likes these things done like YESTERDAY LOL, so this drives me nuts to not be able to get in again! Crossing my fingers that I get an earlier res! :D

OH and it also might be hard because we need a reservation for 9! So I know its hard bc of the amount of people. I even tried getting reservations by splitting up the group since we'll probably be at separate tables anyway, but there are no reservations for even 4!

I donno what you all are doing, maybe its the party size. I just did a few and i got the 11/28 at 12:05 1:10 1:35
11/29 at 1:30

i did all these for party of 4...

Yeah I just tried for a table for 4 and got similar times :) We preferred to do a late afternoon or dinnertime res, but I think its the party size that is getting us. We had called MS yesterday to try and the only time they had on any day for 9 people was 11:20am! Too early for steak for me! LOL :)

Thanks so much for the help, I will keep trying. If we can't get it, we'll just do the 9:15p and hope my daughter sleeps in the stroller :)

I think that Canada should open up a CS. If they sell the cheddar cheese soup and the pretzel bread that could open up some tables. They could also serve poutine's.

Now that's a great idea. Not sure if they still do, but the few times we've been to F&W festival they've had the soup at the Canadian booth. Yumm-o!!

**Edited to add: Don't give up - I just snagged a table for 2 for 4:25 for June 14th online right now!! :woohoo: I've been checking every few days and finally scored. It's not the best time but oh well- I'll take it. Best of luck to everyone trying to get a ressie. :goodvibes

Count me in for thinking a CS in Canada would be a fabulous idea! Especially with Le Celllier switching over to a 2TS restaurant next year.

And to refer to the OP's original question...

Le Cellier is very small.

Contrary to some other posters, ALL our meals over the years at Le Cellier have been fabulous. Every single one. We love it. I'm going two more times this year while it's still 1 TS. And it's just as good for lunch as it is for dinner.

I know how small it is as we have eaten there many times over the years, but in the last few years it has become more difficult to get a reservation. We used to have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get Cindy's breakfast in the castle, but even that's easier now. I hope it does become a 2TS meal so those of us who don't do the dining plan can get in again.

I've been trying to get ressies at Le Cellier for our last 3 trips and I haven't been able to find anything for any date for either lunch or dinner. It sucks because I've always wanted to eat there so badly...

Yeah I hear you guys....I've never eaten there. And I want to eat there before it goes to 2TS, so I am keeping my reservation for late night unless I get another one earlier, but I doubt it since we have 9 people in our party.

Good luck to you all too! Its nearly impossible!

I just made my ADRs for Dec 10 and checked out Le Cellier even though I didn't want that restaurant. There are plenty of open times for a party of 6 for Dec 10 as there were when I made my ADRs for Dec 9 yesterday. There's also a 6:30 pm available for 2 people or 4 people.

And there are LOTS of openings for lunch on Dec 10 for all party sizes right now for Le Cellier.

I also just checked for Dec 9 just for the heck of it and there are tables at all times available for lunch for 4 people and 4:40 or 6:45 pm for 4 people for dinner. In other words, Le Cellier is NOT booking up the instant that the ADRs are possible.

Exactly... there are lots of openings.
