What's with ADRs?

Don't know if the general public is aware that you can pay the difference and get the DXDP, but if they are, this can be a larger factor in the lower availability of ADRs. I know that we upgraded to the deluxe plan, and only plan on eating TS on our 11 day trip. That's 30 TS credits for each of us, which is equating to about 25 meals (some signature). And yes, we actually plan on keeping every single ressie. If lots of people upgrade, it'll make CM, etc that much harder to get.

It was my understanding that TS restaurants at WDW no long accept walk-ups? Is this not true?

They do accept walk ups, there's the famous September 2008 walk up to LeCellier last year (late lunch - they made history on the boards). But yes, if a restaurant has availability they will seat you. It's just that when they are full they can't take walk ups.

Occasionally, I have heard from Disney servers here, that there will be empty tables at a restaurant that have nothing to do with no-shows, but rather staffing concerns that they can't fill the restaurant to capacity at that moment.
