Ikeep reading about wishes, and haven't got a clue what this is?:confused3
Can someone help me please?!:rolleyes1

I bet you're excited:cloud9:

Wishes is the name of the fireworks show held each night in the MK.

We wish there was a Wishes dessert party...that is our favorites "night-time show"...but nothing really exists for that.

if there was less than 12 people, you could hire a pontoon boat to watch Wishes from, and have food brought for the trip. Or again, for smaller parties, I've heard couples having a meal at restaurants in the resorts and watching the show.

Thanks guys for replying
How does this diffr from epcot illuminations?
Would u reccomend wishes over dessert party?:confused3

I love Wishes. It is one of my favorite things at Disney. You can not beat the view of the fireworks behind Cinderella's castle. It is very beautiful!

I think I read somewhere that they used to do DP's at the train station at the MK for Wishes. It never hurts to ask if they can do it!

Wishes is the fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom behind the castle.

Illuminations is the fireworks show at Epcot.

Both are synchronized to music. Wishes makes me think more of classic Disney and Fantasyland whereas Illuminations makes me think more of different cultures in the world coming together (I think I have this phrase in my head bc of the Disney Vacation Planning DVD). Illuminations is on the water and also has fountains and fire in addition to fireworks.

They are both really good shows and I think it just depends on your personal preference as to which one you like better.

If you go to http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm and scroll down, it has information about both Wishes and Illuminations, with pictures of both shows as well as a video of Wishes.

If you go to http://www.stvsweddings.com/gallery.html, you can view Diane and Andrew's Wedding. They had a DP at Illuminations and you can get a really good idea of what the show is like from there.

Hope this helps!

Hey! You're getting married on my birthday!!! That's good luck!! I'll be sure to remember to send you lots of pixie dust!pixiedust:

You can have a Wishes DP at the GF Marina. It has a max on the amount of people, but it can be done. It just isn't within the MK!

HTH!

ah, thankyou all for your replys. Ijust really dont know, now!
77 catwoman i really like the thought of that idea, as it saves everyone getting transported to epcot
Gonna email my wc now to bombard her with yet more questions!
Thanks again. x
