I thought we were in a recession, how can these companies charge 300 plus dollars a night for a hotel room. they cant be filling up are they?

they can charge more because people will pay for them.

story of supply and demand.........

Actually, just today I saved some BIG BUCKS. :yay:

We are staying at the Royal Pacific from Dec. 24 - Dec. 28. I booked last month for $247, but I just checked the price on Universal's website, and it was down to $147. I called the reservation number and the reservationist cheerfully rebooked my room at the lower rate. Plus, she was kind enough to double check if I wanted turndown service, a daily newspaper, noted that my son was having a b-day while onsite, and got everyone's name so all our room keys/front of the line passes are waiting for us at check-in.

So, don't be afraid to keep checking the room rate after your reservation and asking for the best deal possible. :thumbsup2
