Hi Everyone!
Just came back yesterday, (sniff sniff). We did lunch at the castle on Tuesday. As a previous poster noted, they already know the ages by the reservation, we had 2 adults and one child for the reservation. When they seated us, our server gave my 3 year old the wishing star and wand with her menu. When we ordered, I very nicely asked our server if there was any way my almost 2 year-old son could have a sword. She was very nice about it and said Of Course! I wasn't obnoxious about it, we pretty much put the sword in a bag we had with us and didn't take it out until we got back to the room. I wasn't hiding it, but I didn't want every table to see we got one for an infant. I must say, the reason I wanted it for my kids was because it is much cooler than the wand. When she gave us the sword she even said that a lot of the girls want it too. The wand was nothing special, just pink plastic with some feathers.

On another note...I was really curious what the demand would be like with the new pricing. I booked this lunch back in October and had my choice of dates and times. I was surprised when I was waiting in line to check in that EVERY person in front of me was trying to get a walk in and was denied. They were being told there were only a few slots available for dinner only. So they must still be booking up, even if it is not as quickly as before.

My 11 year old would LOVE a sword, and I plan to mention it. My 16 yr old would love a wand, but that is ok. I love all that stuff! I hope they will give my son a sword.

I would love to have dinner at CRT, but with 2 boys the idea of princesses running around has always resulted with a resounding NO. But, if the princesses are not there, I may have a chance...

Dinner isn't technically a character meal. I believe the Fairy Godmother comes out to do a special thing for those celebrating events. Other then that though I don't believe it is a character meal, except for pictures with Cindy in the lobby.

Okay, this is probably a dumb question, but how can they tell is a kid is between the ages of 3 and 9? I have a 9 year old son and two 8 year old daughters. Do they actually ask the age of your kids or do they just give them to all the kids to avoid a fuss? I don't have one (thank goodness! ) but I'm sure some 2 1/2 year olds are going to pitch a fit.

They always ask us the ages of our kids when making out ADR's. I would guess that's what they base it on.
