OK- so I know it's not a reason to fork over all the $$$, we are eating there regardless.... but I had read various reports of free swords, wands and pins given out at the castle meals. I know the photo package is "complimentary", but what about the kids stuff? Maybe they were just for the grand opening (Feb) changes? I called CR and the CM had no clue what I was talking about?!

Anyone have any info? Thanks!

I'd like to know too! Wer'e planning on eating at CRT for Easter Sunday and would love to know if they give them at breakfast.

Anyone know???

I have heard the same thing about the wands and swords...

This whole CRT meal is driving me crazy...seems like no one really knows what is going on...some people are now saying that the pictures are not free!

THIS IS CRAZINESS :confused3

We ate there Sat. night and the pics are free. Wands and swords at breakfast and lunch only, not dinner. As I stated in my review, we felt the dinner not worth it.

Ok, well I figure I won't tell my daughter that she might be getting a wand so if they don't give her one she won't have hard feelings.

Luckily we are going in April so they will have all the kinks worked out by then.

HERE IS SOME INFORMATION I FOUND...

Changes to Cinderella's Royal Table
Beginning February 1, 2006, Cinderella's Royal Table will be adding several new enhancements to their dining experience.

Dreams Come True Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table is a new experience where Guests will enjoy a photo opportunity in the Castle lobby, a customized menu featuring a three course meal, a special Magical Moment with the Fairy Godmother and an exclusive lithograph that will only be available to dinner Guests. Please note that the Disney Princesses will NOT be at this new dinner experience.

A new photo imaging package will be included in the price of each meal period and will include (4) 4x6 prints, (1) 6x8 print and (1) 6x8 print of Cinderella Castle in a Cinderella themed photo holder. Guests attending the Once Upon A Time Breakfast and A Fairy Tale Lunch will have their picture taken with Cinderella in the Castle Lobby. The number of photo packages received will increase with the party size and additional packages may be purchased $29.95 plus tax.

In addition, both the Once Upon A Time Breakfast and A Fairy Tale Lunch will have a new Magical Moment featuring the Princesses and the Fairy Godmother where all Guests ages 3-9 will receive a Magical Wishing Star. In addition, Knights ages 3-9 will receive a Magical Sword and Princesses ages 3-9 will receive a Magic Wand.

Please note the following price adjustments for these new experiences:
- Once Upon A Time Breakfast: Adults $31.99, Guests 3-9 $21.99

Thanks very much for the information, Schachteles! :thumbsup2

This helps me a lot - as we're in the planning process - I couldn't decide which meal would be best for us, and this will make it easier for us all to choose! :teeth:

Ooo a wishing star...what's that and why can't adults get them?? :teeth:

It's a small plastic star that flashes. About the size of the palm of a child's hand.

So you pay more and dinner and get less?? :confused3 No Princesses walking around and no sword or wand??????? I guess that means I cancel Dinner.

Okay, this is probably a dumb question, but how can they tell is a kid is between the ages of 3 and 9? I have a 9 year old son and two 8 year old daughters. Do they actually ask the age of your kids or do they just give them to all the kids to avoid a fuss? I don't have one (thank goodness! ;) ) but I'm sure some 2 1/2 year olds are going to pitch a fit.

I would think they don't give them to the 2 1/2 year olds because they don't pay for a meal but I agree, my 2 1/2 year old would pitch a fit. Better wait til he's three to go there. :)

IMHO, foodwise, dinner would be the only one that might come close to some sort of value (I'd definitely not pay $32.00 for eggs and such, no matter what characters were there). Not that I'd pay $40 for dinner, but at least there should be steak and such.

We are going in May. And I am glad I know this because my youngest will be almost 3(2 months shy), and yes she will probably pitch a fit when her 4 year old sister gets a wand and she doesn't.

I'll have to bring one with us just in case.

Perhaps they ask the age when taking ADRs? I know I told the age of my niece when I booked.

I agree about the 2 year olds. I have one of those. :teeth: (Well she *will* be 2 by the time we're at WDW).
The thing is I also have a 9 year old who'll be 10 in WDW - he's not too big for toys. Surely they wouldn't just bypass him and give younger boys a sword would they? I mean, I know it's probably worth 50c or something but it seems really, really mean. :confused3 (Not that we're definitely going to CRT but we might).

When you call and book your meal they ask you the ages of your children. They will already know when you arrive. I am sure that some Mom will toss a fit when her 2 year old or 10 yr. old doesn't get one. My guess would be that if they are not offering these for an additional fee yet...they soon will be!

Even if you are using 2 of your TS opts. from your dining plan you still have to hold/secure your reservation with a credit card.

So wait a minute - does that mean at dinner we won't get our picture taken with Cinderella? Just a picture of us and..........what? I am seriously reconsidering this for our March trip.........

You get you picture at dinner too. With Cinderella in the lobby. You don't get the sword/wand thing though. Dinner includes the picture and a lithograph.

I'll say it before and I'll say it again - I just cannot believe that they would NOT give a 2 yo or a 10 yo a wand or a sword because they weren't ages 3-9. I mean, this is Disney - if your 2 yo wants a wand, ask them to give her a wand. If they hesitate even a moment, they should be fired. This is DISNEY where everyone is a kid, especially the KIDS! I am sure they cost about $1 and by golly at those prices they should give ME a wand too!

If anyone is refused a wand or sword because they aren't 3-9 (I'm talking kids here, not 35 year olds), please let us know. I would love to get on my soap-box about this to Disney management, but again, I don't think they will deny anyone's request.
