What's up with the castle?

I thought I had read that the bling-bling decorations were coming down in September, but some recent pics I saw from last week still show it up.

Anyone know when the stuff's coming down?

I was just there this past weekend and all the decorations were gone. There was a large crane up during the day and it looked like they are in the process of repainting it. I am curious as to what, if anything, will decorate it now.

A repainting is great, but I think they should just leave it be now. Why fix what isn't broken?

Well, this pic was taken September 21st, the first day without the mirror (we were there on the 20th as well). As you can see, all the "bling" is gone, and the top few spires are the new dark blue color.

I'm so glad the classic castle is back. Such a simple, beautiful structure doesn't need cheesy jewlery; like any great beauty, it's best admired in it's most simple form.

It took me a minute to see what u were talking about. I see it too. Maybe it is a reflection off the glass in the window?

I just love when the Castle is decorated. I loved when they did the 25th Anniversary, and the 50th Celebration. The only one I didn't like was in 2004 the Stitch Escape Theme.

I have to agree with being glad the castle is back in its un-altered state.

I have NEVER been a fan of the changes. I especially hated the pink cake thing at 25th...*shudder*

That was my favorite because I was a kid at the time. I went on my birthday and actually thought they did it for me! LOL

Yes, but then again could you imagine the family that has never visited Magic Kingdom before who were only there for one day and they got stuck with seeing that. I mean - how horrible would that be!

I am an inspring teacher and I can't help but this of ESOL students and parents who speak another language and doesn't understand our humor. What would they think of such a place?

There were signs up all over the place about Stitch. Stitch was running through the park, TV crews were there. If someone was confused they could have asked a CM.

I have been taking pictures of the Castle for quite a while and I haven't seen any clouds painted on the castle.

It might have been a reflection.
