What's Up with Hotel Royal Plaza?

Hi guys:

I read on wdwig.com website that the hotel royal plaza in downtown disney area will not be taking reservations and will not be open until February 2005. Does anyone know what happened. Thanks for the input.

Hurricane damage!

How bad was it? Funny, my very first trip to Disney 5 years ago I checked in there. After unpacking I found out they had no transportation to the parks! The bus company had canceled the contract. This after traveling by train from NY! They didn't even apologize. I was told they would have buses by Thursday. This was on Sunday! We went upstairs repacked, schlepped over to. I believe it was the Marriot. I never got so much as "We are sorry". I even wrote the company. Funny how Karma works!

I am sorryy to hear you trip was so bad. Me and DH went last oct and stayed there, it was fine we loved the tub, we both managed to fit int Everything else was not so bad we have stayed in worse like the econolodge!!!!

The rest was not. We stayed there last year during spring break. Never did see a washcloth. Standard statement from housekeeping was, we're running low. Also slow cleaning the room. DH said lets move to the CR so I got a room there. We checked in at 10:30 AM, expecting todrop luggage and head to th epark, they said our room was available now if we wanted. Such a difference in guest relations! Knock wood, never again will I stay offsite!
