I will try to put a link at the end but here is a article that talks to current and former employee's talking of rat problems at the rest. Dosnet sound to appetitizing, it comes from the oc weekly.

I saw that too. I have searched for other sources with the same information and haven't found anything.

I hope the article isnt true!!!

It sounded pretty hateful towards the establishment. I didn't give it much merit.

Having worked in the food industry I know the problems that can exist and I am sure Disney has their fair share. I don't know much about mold either have heard it can be a problem BUT they way thios artical was written was very inflammatory and sensationalized what with pulling tumors out of noses. When the told of the rats chewing their feet of to get out of the traps I sort of took it with a grain of salt. Sure, things may be happening, just like everyewhere else. Moderation in reporting is always a key to hal being believable

My dad actually got sick there the last time my parents went, but I think it was just a fluke thing.

I thought the article was a little inflammatory too.

Having worked in a college cafeteria for four years, pests can be very difficult to deal with.

It won't stop me from eating there.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!

Edited to add Seriously, I am sure the Health Department would be looking into this.

I had seen that prior and although there is probably some things in there that are true the whole tone of the article makes me question its integrity.
Having worked in the hotel/travel industry for years I am not surprised at some of the comments - heck there are some hospitals that have some of those problems with mold and even pests.
It will be interesting to see if this pops up anywhere else.

Yuck! Well I have done numerous searches, and I have not been able to find this information anywhere else. I am still planning to eat there next month, LOL!

I just came across this on the aol message boards.
It's a comment on the article from mouseplanet.com.

I was planning on doing Goofy's Kitchen for dinner my first night.
Now I'm considering not doing it.
What does everyone else think?

is disgusting and if it's even the slightest bit true, Disney should fix ALL of those problems IMMEDIATELY. I don't think I'll be eating at any Disney restaurant until I hear that the problem has been completely rectified. Those pictures of the kitchen area are repulsive. That amount of mold seen on the floor and walls can DEFINITELY make you sick...especially if you are allergic or sensitive to airborne spores. Those pictures show "black mold" and it is the worst. My father is a real estate broker, and he deals with mold in houses on almost a daily basis and that kitchen has a SERIOUS mold problem.

Get it together Disney, or we ain't eatin' there anymore.

Roy (yuck)
