What's up with decorating the windows?

For our Mardi Gras trip this year we had our Super Bowl Banner in our window!!! We always decorate our window with stuffed animals.

Thanks Again Peyton!!

My opinion is keep it small and simple. I totally understand a small Mickey or Pooh in the window but a whole scene is a bit over the top. I also agree with the poster saying it was tacky hanging a cloth sign on the fence railing - that would take away from the resort theming. I think this year I will bring a Home Depot Green Mickey to put on my window but that will be the only thing. I do think those who travel during the holidays (Christmas) who bring a small tree should - after all they are there at Christmas time and who wouldn't want a tree in their room!! Again, only my opinion and please know I support all of yours that might differ. :D

I think some decorations - an appropriate sign, window clings, etc. - in the window or on the door are fun. I do agree that along a hallway full of doors that all look the same, it does help make your room stand out.

Of course last year, being newbies, we didn't decorate while at POP and our room stood out because it was about the only one that wasn't decorated. ;)

I put a Disboards sign in the window 8 x 10, but did not have it on our last trip, so we put a Mickey sticker on our window, because we kept walking past our room at CBR.

Yes, some people go over the top with decorations...I don't mind because it makes them happy.

For example......

Our next door neighbor (now decorating for everyone in heaven) had so many lights on his house, BWI airport used it as a landing beacon ---- well, maybe not but it was beginning to remind me of Osborne Lights.

It WAS colorful and people stopped to look.

When you remembered as a child his father would not allow ANY recognition of any holiday, it was easier to enjoy the lights with him.

I have not seen anything offensive at WDW.....so I say...let them have their fun!
