What's up with BBB reservations?

I've been checking to see what BBB will be like for our January trip. I have 2, maybe 3, children to make an appointment for. I've noticed that if I search for just one child, there are dozens of time slots open. When I search for 2 children at a time, this shrinks down to maybe 10 slots for the whole day. 3, even less.

I'm hoping for a morning appointment around 9:30 or 10:00, but as far as I can tell these are only available if I'm searching for one child at a time. Can I make their reservations separately, or is it like dining in which it will tell you there are conflicting plans if I try to make 2 separate BBB reservations?

For December, the reservations didn't open until 10/19 (so less than 60 days out for most dates), but when they did, a ton were open. I would check every morning, but they'll open up in the next week or 2
