Sorry you had such a dull experience. I ate there the last week in October with my BFF and Cousin Sara was awesome. First, when she came to take our order, BFF wanted fried chicken with corn instead of greens, which Cousin Sara gave her a very hard time about until she asked BFF WHY she didn't want greens to which BFF responded "Um, I'm from the South, and those things you serve aren't greens." Which got a huge laugh from everyone around us and no more argument from Cousin Sara. Then she came to see if we wanted drink refills and in the midst of the conversation asked where we were from. The conversation that followed went something like, Us: Tennessee. Sara: Really, ya'll didn't even ask "Do ya'll got any sweet tea ya'll" Us: Um...cuz we know you don't. Sara: No, we do. Us: No, really you don't. Sara: But REALLY, we do. BFF: Do your teeth hurt after you drink it? Cuz if not, it's not really sweet tea. Sara: Oh, I don't know. I don't touch the stuff....then she promptly returned with several glasses of sweet tea and told us to "Drink up, ya'll." And when she brought our dessert, she asked if we were sisters to which we said, no, best friends. At which point she asked if we wanted to meet her best friend and went running across the restaurant to fetch her best friend. Sarah. With an H. And we had a long conversation about how they spend every Sunday shopping and at Starbucks (cuz we had been talking about how BFF runs a Starbucks). It was probably the best visit I ever had at 50's.
