what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

The absolute worst thing I've eaten at WDW (and possibly anywhere..) was the Chicken Pot Pie at 50's PTC. I heard such great things about that place and we've never made an ADR. DS and I tried it in Feb and it was disgusting. All gray meat and gristle, I couldn't even look at it once I took the pastry part off. The waitress offered me something else, but I couldn't eat after that. DS had the fried chicken which he said was good, but I don't think we'll be back.

Breakfast at CRT. The egg omelet thing was a cubical pseudo-egg-like nightmare. Absolutely horrific. I deeply regret the amount of money we spent. School cafeteria food is better.

The worst thing I have ever eaten anywhere and not just at WDW is the Cuban Sandwich at ABC Commissary. That sandwich was horrible. For that matter my DD and DW did not enjoy their meals either. The only good thing about the ABC Commissary is the "EXIT" sign. :lmao:

Oh my, you hit the nail on the head with that one. We went there during our December trip and I was so disappointed with this meal....the only good thing was that my DD6 got to finally eat in the castle. From now on, we will just stick with Akershus.

:rotfl:

Can't agree with you more....we will NEVER eat at that CS again.

oh wait, i forgot one. i don't even remember which restaurant, but it was a counter service at magic kingdom (i think) and i asked for a grilled cheese sandwich. i got a hamburger bun opened up with one slice of unmelted or maybe partly melted american cheese on each side. i could not believe it so i asked a manager and he said that was their only form of grilled cheese. this was about 4 years ago. it was a large restaurant where you went in and stood in double lines for counter service with a cashier in the middle of the two lines. there were several service couters in a circle i think? it was packed and people were standing by garbage cans with their plates on top eating because there were no tables. not a good memory!:sad2:

just figured out it was mickey's starlight cafe.

A tie between the entire buffet at Hollywood & Vine and a caramel apple that was all brown when I bit into it (altho that didn't stop me from eating as much caramel as I could off of it).

:crazy2:This would be a tie for me.

Highly over rated imo

Hands down...
the Four Cheese Macaroni from Wolfgang Puck Express. It tasted as bad as it looks...cold and chewy, but I don't think it would have been much better if it had been fresh and hot.

Mashed sweet potatoes at Boatwrights.. actually my entire meal at Boatwrights... excluding the beer

Dinner at Rose & Crown in Epcot:eek:

eh - poor portions and poor value - poor taste too!

5 of us ate there in 2008 and all agreed we would NEVER return!

The burgers at ABC Commissary. We used to eat there for breakfast and thought that having lunch there would be good. All four of us decided on the burgers and all four of us had to throw it out after a couple of bites. My DH still comments about how we will NEVER eat there again. Also the pizza at TS Pizza Planet, we always went because the girls loved the atmosphere, but when we were there in December all of our pizzas were unedible for some reason, we didn't finish that lunch either, however, we will probably try it out again because the girls really like it there.

Trust me, I picked a couple of other choices earlier in the post but this picture has convinced me to "never" have the macaroni & cheese at Wolfgang Puck! :rotfl2:

Hands down, the skillet meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Seriously disgusting and greasy. We could barely choke it down! We tried it on 2 separate occassions (2008 and 2009) and both times it was just plain gross. If I even see a picture of it on the food thread, I feel queasy.

The raw cheeseburger they tried to serve me for lunch at Kona a couple of years ago was definately the worst! However, the worst thing I actually ate....probably the baked ziti at Tony's in MK last December...Yuck! Thank goodness they served breadsticks or I would have been one hungry girl!

IMO the mac and cheese at WGP is actually pretty good if you get it when it's fresh and hot!

Turkey legs. I had always wanted to try one, and whn I finally got it I though it was the nastiest thing ever, super sinewy, super salty, and just plain gross! I tried it again on a later trip and it was the same. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed!
