Whats the theme of the parks in November?

Hi all,

a couple of questions, we are going on 5th to 19th November so was wondering what would be the theme for the wdw parks then. We have only been once before and that was in April so don't know what the weather will be like then so......question is.....do I need to pack any cardies? Thats it for now.

Once the Halloween theme goes they change to Xmas for Nov & Dec.

Yes you will need to take cardies/fleece evenings can be quite cool in Nov.

Christmas parties start around the 8th nov so should be all christmassy

The International Food and Wine Festival (which is the best event at WDW in my opinion) runs until 11th November in 2012. Try to avoid weekends which are busy, and any EMH days for the same reason.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at MK started on 8th last year; Osborbe Lights at the Studios on 10th, so look out for announcements. The Christmas decorations all around WDW will start to appear from the beginning of the month.

There are also some less-hyped events which may or may not interest you, including the PGA Tour event (Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th) and Festival of the Masters at Downtown Disney (Friday 9th - Sunday 11th).

From a crowds point of view, Veterans' Day is Sunday 11th (with a federal holiday on the Monday) and the Jersey Week influx will start on Saturday 3rd (convention days are 8th and 9th). We're not talking silly numbers, just busier than the weeks either side.

Weather-wise, it could go either way. We've been extremely lucky in the winter months, including the first two weeks of November in 2008, but even when we've had some unseasonably warm temperatures, we've also experienced some cold snaps and, on the whole, you don't get those balmy evenings.
