My Disney family is thinking about going to the world in 4 weeks. We were planning a trip somewhere else, but Disney seems to be calling us. What is the shortest amount of time you have planned a trip to Disney. I know it can be done, but our other trips we used alot more time to plan. Any thoughts and/or suggestions. I love to plan trips, but I find one this last minute to be exciting and scary. TIA :wizard:

We did a 5 night trip at the end of February 2002 with about a month's notice.

My brother was visiting some potential college choices in FL, so my parents just decided to take my dh and I (then just dating) along with them, and spend a few extra days in Disney.

It can totally be done. You just may not get all the exact ADRS if you are going at a busy time. We didnt have a problem.

It was DH's first trip and we had a great time. Ended up back there 10 months later for our honeymoon!

We're leaving on the 28th and I planned the trip a month ago. I got the resort I wanted and the ADRs. It can be done. :)

We've done several trips where we only had a few weeks to plan - but they were all off-season trips, so we had no problem getting reservations or making dining arrangments with little notice. So, sure you can do it! Go and have a blast!!

By the way, hello from a fellow Arkansan! :wave2: (There sure are a lot of us on the boards these days!)

As far as ADRs, it can be done. I only started making ADRs about 2 weeks ago for our trip in 1!/2 weeks. I didn't have trouble getting any of the reservations I wanted.
