What's the scoop on Narcoosee's reopening date?

I was just gonna ask this. When we were there last time, they made it sound like maybe a 6mos schedule--but they are over that timeline now. What is the new expected timeline?

But man do I love me some Narcoosees. My kids both declared that the best mac and cheese of any kids meal on property. And back in the free dining plan days where you could do the steak with the lobster tail? So many warm and fuzzy memories there!

They gutted the entire structure and were completely rebuilding with a new layout (bar moving, kitchen moving, single floor dining room with more tables, etc.) and that it will get a new menu and be a"re-imagined dining experience", so I expect there will be a lot of social media posts to promote the changes around the time they start hinting at a reopening date. I wouldn't be surprised if it waits until the rest of the refurb/construction is done at the GF to open.

My favorite Disney restaurant, we made a special trip last year just to dine at Narcoossee's before it closed. I hope it comes back better than ever. . .and soon!

Not to quibble, but I think the announcement was for “an enhanced dining experience”. Which lately seems to mean “prixe fixe” at WDW. Hoping I’m wrong, but I’m not betting on it being a la carte anymore.

We ran into the manager at another Disney restaurant last summer. He explained the new layout to us, sounds amazing. At the time they were aiming for sometime in March, but no idea what the schedule would be now since we haven'theard any updates.

We've enjoyed every meal we have had there, but no news as to an opening date.
Our favorite is when you can watch the Electric Water Pageant from your table.

Now that we know it will most likely be a prix fixe menu, I'm not sure this restaurant will remain on my list. I'm still holding out hope that the choices are something I'm willing to spend $89+ for or that it's even open by mid-May. Otherwise, I'll be shooting for December.

Thanks for that article. I'm not happy with this at all. Where's the delicious caesar salad? Or the filet mignon by itself, I hate lobster! So it only comes surf and turf now? I'll wait for reviews, but I may just stick with Citricos from now on. Disappointing as always, why do they change a really, really good thing.

Narcoosee’s has been a family favorite, must do since I was 10/12…..

I sure it will be as good or better in its new formate.

Both were excellent prior to recent updates. DW preferred Citricos, but she seldom eats seafood and is gluten free so Narcoossee‘s had more limited options for her. I love seafood, so I liked the additional choices at Narcoossee’s compared to Citricos.

We did the new menu at Citricos in January and DW says the filet she had was one of the best or the best ever, anywhere. I was very happy with the Mahi Mahi entree, so we’ve booked an ADR for a late-April WDW stay. We also booked a Narcoossee’s ADR, so we’ll get a direct comparison of the new menu. Unfortunately, there is no filet on the announced Narcoossee’s menu except as part of a surf and turf combo with a lobster tail. We’re thinking about ordering that to split, along with a couple of extra side dishes. I would eat the lobster, DW would eat the filet, and we would split all the sides.

Our last meal at Narcoossee's prior to closing was very good. And we were seated near the window so could watch the Electrical water Pageant from our seat.
Have not been to Citricos since reopening. Previously, it seemed to be hit or miss. We had good meals there and meh meals. Hopefully, they've improved the quality and consistency.
