Hello,

We just got 3 weeks ago and my kids want to go back!!! I planned that trip for 11 of us from Nov '06 to Mar '07. I'm seriously thinking about taking my kids back this summer. Late July or early August is the time frame I'm looking at. I know hot and crowded. But this time it would just be the 3 of us. I would definitely take breaks during the day to go swimming. I would stay at one of the All Star Resorts. Stayed at Shades of Green last trip (parents are retired military) so I can't go back there.

Can it be done? Or am I nuts?

Why not I would do it if my husband would let me. Have fun! If you can afford it do it! I think Southwest has some real cheap flights in august.

I sometimes chaperone senior class trips to Florida, which include time at Disneyworld. In 2003, I found out on a Saturday night at 9 pm--the night before Easter--that one of the sponsors could not go and my administrator asked me to fill in. We left on Tuesday at 2 pm. I hosted the family Easter dinner on Sunday, too. Admittedly, the hotel reservations were all made, but I'm an obsessive planner and listmaker, so having about 60 hours to plan, pack, prepare lesson plans, and do normal life at the same time was pretty hectic! We made it and had a great time!

My Boyfriend and I went in the beginning of February....we were talking about it and we were like it would be a great time to go because all of the kids would still be in school as it wouldn't quite yet be Feb. Vacation for all of them. So we booked it......2 WEEKS BEFORE WE WOULD ACTUALLY BE LEAVING!! We had American Airlines vouchers that we were able to use...got a room at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge....and we were on our way!! My Boyfriend owns his own buiness and my jobs is greeeeeat so we are lucky that we can just get up and go to Disney whenever we get the crazy urge.....well okay it's more like whenever I get the crazy urge...hehe!! We weren't even home from the trip yet when I started planning our next trip....for this May....so at least this time we had 3 months to plan!!

Well, let's see....I was there in Oct for a week to celebrate my dd's 13th birthday. Then, I did a solo trip in early Dec. When I got back, I had to plan a stay in WDW before my ds's wedding in mid-Jan. We arrived on a Thurs. night, went to bed, spent from 8:00 am to midnight in the parks and left the next morning.
It's never 'too' soon to return to WDW!!! I also had a trip in June '05 and then got a terrific fare with SW for early August. So, of course my dd and I had to go back. Planned that trip in 2 hrs., and left 5 days later!!

It can totally be done, and it would be easier too since its just the three of you going! I planned a trip for my husband and I in about a month. We knew we wanted to go to MNSSHP and went! The cool thing was, we invited my best friend to come along with us, and she was up in the air about going until literally 7 pm the night before! She called me and was like " are you sure I can still go" I said absolutely, she said " good because I just booked my air fare"! So it is totally possible, the only down side is that it does not give you alot of time to shop and compare airfare! We stayed at ASMu and had a blast! I think sometimes planning the short notice trips gets me even more pumped up about going! Happy planning! :tinker:

We just did two trips 7 months apart and me and my wife are going the end of August for 6 days (free dining  :cool1:  ). So if we are doing 3 trips in 12 months, 1. - It can be done and 2. - I dont think your crazy. :) :)

We were in Disney January 06 for my daughter's birthday. Heard about the Passholder preview of Everest so we drove back-up the very next weekend to ride Everest!! Lucky for us it's only about 3.5 hour drive each way.

PS We did a total of 7 trips last year...really took advantage of our Seasonal Passes!

Our trips are always last minute, when DH has a free minute we plan & GO! (that's how his job is). The last trip we were in Orlando within 2 days of booking our flights & hotel reservations & were there for 2 weeks. Do-able IMO. :thumbsup2

Last year my DH and I decided on a Wednesday (middle of July) that we could finally afford to go to WDW for our very first trip. We called and booked it that night. We left the following Friday so that was 9 days from the time we thought about going to the time we left. :thumbsup2

I just booked a trip for myself , my 2 sons and my niece for the end of July beginning of August. You have plenty of time to plan. This is our 3rd trip in a years time.

Okay so I haven't even left for my first ever trip yet (August) and I have booked a solo trip for me during free dining and I am planning a December trip. I am lucky in that we have self-scheduling at work and I can pretty much plan to go whenever I want. As long as I can get decent airfare through Delta I am on my way. . .

Last Jan of '06 it was 3 days before my wifes birthday and she was starting a new job a few days after. As a birthday gift I planned a 4 day Disney trip in 2 days. Had it all paid (resort, dining plan, and airfare) in about 2 hours. When she came home from school I wrote dawn "Wanna go to Disney for your birthday" on a piece of paper, and 2 days later we left the fridged snowlands of Minnesota for Steeler fan infested Florida (they either just made it into the superbowl or won it, I don't really follow....). If I had the time and the money like that again, I would last minute all my trips. It was super-exciting.

Ok, I think I'm going to do it and not tell them until we're headed to the airport. I'm not going to tell my parents or in-laws either. We'll call them from Magic Kingdom. They'll think I'm crazy.

So is it really hot the first week in August?

Especially with the fact that you already have the experience down there. My GF and myself went down there in March of 06 and didn't even start talking about it until 3 weeks before we ended up leaving.

Add into that the fact that it was her first time <her birthday too!> and I hadn't been down there since I was a little guy, and that we were only there for 3 days, we were definitely overwhelmed at how much there was to do, but still had a blast. And now, after talking about how much we wanted to go back since we got home from that exhausting trip, we're working on our second trip this July for our honeymoon.

i planned a trip to wdw 2 weeks ago i am leaving 2 weeks from tomorrow i was able to do plenty of research on line and got a great deal for 3 of us staying at all star sports:banana:

We have a trip set in October. We got an email from Spirit today and couldn't turn down the deal. So the quickest trip we booked was five minutes at the spur of the moment.

The family went for a week in Dec. '06. Then my DH and I went for a few days
in mid-Jan. We decided to go, went on the Rent/Trade board and rented an
existing reservation at OKW for $7/pt. and used FF miles to fly. We stayed
for three nights and it cost us approx. $260.00! We also rented a car for the
first time and THAT was awesome. It took no time at all to get anywhere.
We didn't visit the parks, just resorts and DTD. :thumbsup2

Our family was at WDW in mid-March; a trip I planned and saved for from June 2006-March 2007. When we got back, I started looking at the possibility of just DH and myself going back in mid-May for a weekend anniversary trip. Since I have an AP, and there was an AP resort rate out, I presented the idea to him. HE WENT FOR IT !!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

So....not as much time to plan, but that's ok....we're going back to DW!
