What's the oldest thing in your fridge!?

I have a jar of horse radish mustard that I know has been in our fridge for over a year.

We just moved, so I know the oldest thing is only a month old.

My in-laws fridge is pretty scary. Nevermind the fact that the bulb was burned out way before I met DH (almost 13 years ago) and never replaced. I just try not to eat anything out of it that I didn't see made. I figure with the grandkids over so much that things like ketsup and Ranch dressing get used up fast enough not to go bad.

3 years old, but it's a bottle of aloe vera that's not edible!

There's some condiments in there that are pretty old, but still good as far as I can tell. I only use a tsp of relish at a time when I make tuna salad (which isn't all that often), so it's going to take a while!

I'm so going to win this contest - although I should be very embarrassed........drum roll.....

I have a can of soft cat food in the back of the fridge- that I bought when our cat was sick and wasn't eating dry food

Haven't had our cat since 2003.......and last time she was sick.....drum roll.......1999!!!!!

I don't know why I don't throw out...

I have a bottle of wine vinegar from about 1994 or so that I've had almost since then (It's from a very well-regarded vineyard here in Virginia, though, so it's supposed to be old...not sure it counts.)

Almost! I have a half bottle of Jim Beam and quarter bottle of Bacardi in the fridge that's been in there since Dec 1998. First year in the house and I decided I was making rum balls and burbon balls. Yep, I'm a booze hound!

Funny you should ask this today.....I just cleaned out my fridge....I think the oldest thing was salad dressing.....but I cannot beat some of the others on here, I think it was only about a year old!

We moved in with a friend until our house is built. When I moved us in I threw away all of his expired food. Well I guess I forgot one because last night when I went to get ranch dressing for dinner it had a April 05' expiration date.

I suppose this is kinda gross.... but I have a container titled "rat" my dad made... (Ratatooie) that has been in my freezer since his death 7 years ago, and it was prolly in his freeze for a couple of months before that.

Just cant part with it.... sick huh.

I go through my fridge every week and throw stuff out on Trash Day. It is one of those habits I started.

I clean out my fridge about once a month, so I know nothings old, but my DM's fridge you have to check dates before eating anything. She once had salad dressing that was over a year past it's expiration date
