What's the oddest wedding registry gift you've seen?

Last year I was invited to a bridal shower. When I got to the store she'd registered at and got the wedding registry printed out, one of the things she had registered for was a toilet brush... really! Granted it was in a "nice" stainless steel container but still - a toilet brush?!

What have you seen on a wedding registry that just made you shake your head?

Neither my nephew or his bride know how to cook. When they were here they talked about their registry and described a lemon reamer. I unburied mine and showed it to them. They had no idea what it was, what its used for, or what they're going to do with it, but it was on their list. :rotfl:

My aunt registerd for contact solution. :rotfl2:

My DH & I registerd for Twister as a joke. And we got it!

Quite a few DVDs including Dude Where's My Car?

Needless to say, they were young, and sadly, they divorced less than a year later.

I have seen quite a few odd requests for gifts: a wig, toilet paper, and socks, to name a few. :confused3

DVDs, socks, undies, motor oil, a basketball, board games.

My friend and her DH registered for Boggle (the game).....

MY DS added candy to his registry......one Junior mint and one Twix.
he got them

I think, for the undies request. You should have gotten the ones that say "I love Soandso " on them... :teeth:

I had to buy a baby gift off a registry recently. My DH has a new job, so it was for a co-worker that we didn't even know. I wanted to get her something she wanted, especially since she is the bosses daughter. :teeth: Anyway, on the baby registry were all the normal things you'd expect and the boxed set of Star Wars DVDs. I told my DH it was either to watch while she was in labor, or they were VERY serious about teaching their newborn about Star Wars early.

LOL! These are a riot! There must be a story about the wig...

Saw a dart-board and one of those 55 gallon black garbage cans.
Nothing says good luck with your life than a trashcan.

My DH looks for these odd items when we get the registries. He thinks that those are the items that the couple really want. So we end up buying them. So far we've gotten people DVDs, games, and the oddest one was a Heather doll. The brides name was Heather and it was on the registry so thats part of what we got.

None, here. I guess we don't go to any wedding of creative thinking people. I love all the posts.
