What's the newest & nicest rental homes closest to WDW? This would include the community pool, amenities, etc.?

Windsor Hills?
Windsor Palms?
Formosa ...? (this still reminds me of formosan termites!!!!)
Indian Creek?

I've read some say that they can see the WDW fireworks at night. How true is this?

emerald island is very nice and new. in the formosa gardens (splendid china) area very close to windsor hills.

I think any of those neighborhood you would be more than happy with. I am of course partial to Indian Creek. They are all very nice neighborhoods, and very close to Disney!

The newest is Windsor Hills but they're all pretty nice. The biggest homes are in Emerald Island, Formosa Gardens, Acadian Estates and Rolling Hills. There are some homes there with up to 7 or more bedrooms. WH, WP, and IC have 6 bedrooms at the most. How new the community is doesn't always mean that the homes are the nicest. Owners furnish their homes at different levels and some of the nicest might not be in the newest communities.
Windsor Hills has a big zero entry pool area and clubhouse, playground etc. Windsor Palms has similar. Emerald Island has the clubhouse pool area etc but Formosa Gardens and others don't. Indian Creek is in the same area and looks very nice.
You can see the fireworks from some of the homes but it's at quite a distance and nothing like being there. We've seen them just driving along some areas on 192 but it isn't as exciting as when you're there.
You can see the amenities for Windsor Hills at www.windsorhillsrent.com .
A lot of people also post pictures on their rental sites (on VRBO.com) of the community areas.

Another vote for Emerald Island of course I am biased. :cheer2:

Emerald Island is complete so, there is no construction going on. :thumbsup2

To echo: the owner has much more to do with the quality of your home and its furnishings than does the age of the development it is in.

As for location, I think you'll be happy with any of those.

I think you would be thrilled with any homes in the developments you've listed.:)

Check on our reviews board upstairs...there are a few home in those areas with great reviews from other Dis'ers:)

I vote Windsor Hills and would recommend www.romancingthemouse.com mention that we recommended them and you will get a discount. We just stayed there in January, the house had top notch furnishings and was immaculate. The roses, muffins, juice, hot chocolate cookies and a smiling face greeting us after a long trip was an added bonus. They were great to rent from as they live close by and are available if needed. We called for dinner recommendations and they were a great help. These would be the kind of owners that I would want to deal with if there had been a house related issue. They even came by on our last day to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction.

Hope you have a great trip and take time to check them out.

Linda :cheer2:
