What's the lowest price you've ever paid for the Hojo?

We usually name our price on Priceline for hotels in Anaheim which has been amazing in terms of getting great deals on nice hotels. However, I would really like to try the Hojo sometime. I just don't know if I would give up the Hyatt or Crowne Plaza or the Marriott, etc. at $45 to stay at the Hojo for $95. So, I was curious what other deals people have gotten at the Hojo. Thanks :)

I think $59 (Entertainment Rate) is the cheapest you can get for the cheapest rooms at Hojo? With an AP discount I've paid $66.75/night (I don't know if Entertainment Rate was available or not but I had so many problems with that company I wouldn't pay for another card :flower3: ).

With taxes that's a bit under $77/night, though. Of course, Priceline/etc. has resort fees too. I would pay more for a cheaper hotel just to be within walking distance, personally, but not necessarily because it's the Hojo proper. (Nothing against the Hojo; the service is great but if you go in expecting a luxury hotel, you'll likely be horribly disappointed.)

Are you able to get a good rate in summer? Is the entertainment rate from one of those entertainment books that you pay $20 for?

They sometimes offer Entertainment rates in the summer (our first stay at Hojo we got it for most of the days of our trip). You probably won't know until fairly close to your trip, though.

You just CALL the hotel (in-house reservations) and ask them to apply the Entertainment rate, then present the card upon check-in. You don't even need the book.

I had a horrid experience with the Entertainment company's website glitching and the company not taking responsibility for it (customer service was unhelpful and disinterested)...I ended up paying $5 more for the book than I should have had to, and it took over a month to get a refund on the books they sent me mistakenly (even after I sent them back). So I'm not going to be dealing with that company again if I can help it, but if you buy from a third-party source and/or make sure you have several weeks before your trip when you order your books, I'm sure you'd be fine.

LOL...yes, lovely weather. I actually like colder weather too, but I love to tell people in the North about our lovely weather so they're jealous. ;)

$59 a night + 15% tax for a King room and you can see the photos in my signature if you are interested. You may want to stay with the higher end hotels if that's what you are used to. HTH! I don't think I would give up the higher end hotels for that price. The only reason we haven't done the PL thing is because many times I'm at the park alone, or just me and my son, and DH doesn't want me to have to deal with the shuttle thing late at night. When I stay nearby at Hojos or Fairfield Inn he knows he won't have to worry about me, LOL. Otherwise I would totally stay at one of those hotels you mentioned for the $45-50/night. It's so worth it.

I don't remember the nightly rate but I stayed for 5 nights and only paid $345 for a double queen room and that included all taxes and fees.
