What's the Longest Fastpass Line You've Ever Been In?

I concur about autopia. Besides that one, BTMRR we waited 30 minutes in the FP line, but the stand by was almost 2 hours.

Another one for Autopia....we waited awhile in the Fast Pass line for that one. :sad2: ugh
For BTMRR we waited about 20min this past Dec & about the same for Indy (Stand By was 80min), Soarin' was about 20min as well come to think of it.
A couple of Octobers ago, when Ghost Galaxy first opened, we waited a good bit in the Fast Pass line but the Stand By line wait time was 120min so even 30min would be not so bad in comparison. :)

Technically, BTMR with about a 20 minute wait.

Patience-wise - Space Mountain with a 15 minute wait. We arrived to the cut off point between the fp line and the regular line and were told to stop. A "special" young adult joined the line behind us and started bombarding my DH will all sorts of questions and statements. "I like handshakes, big hugs, and pats on the back." So my DH patted him on the back. "I like making friends at Disneyland, do you?" Ummm.... "What's your favorite American basketball team?" "Do you watch football?" It went on and on. I work in Special ed and was trying so hard not to laugh. My DH was patiently answering his questions and realizing there was no escape in those tunnels. I had made my DH wear his birthday pin that day which is why the guy even started talking to him so he teased me afterwards about never wearing pins again. :rotfl:

The longest fastpass line I ever saw was in DW. I wasn't crazy enough to actually get in the line. We wanted to go on BTMRR so we walked up and saw the wait time for standby was 90 minutes and the fastpass line was actually longer than the standby line. Nevermind!

Indiana Jones, on a Friday afternoon in July. We still waited at least 25 minutes with a FP, but the standby line was 90 minutes. We had given our extra 2 FPs to a couple who we chatted with in line.

I think it really matters where the FP line joins the standby line how long the FP will still take. IJ is still a long walk (even if you continuously moved) back to the ride. Some FP lines take you almost right to the loading, others only cut off the first half of the line.

See, this is the kind of thing that confuses me about fastpass! How can the fastpass line be over 90 minutes long? You gotta wonder if it's because the CMs aren't being strict about the 2 hour return time window...

A CM has never turned us away with a past due time FP. And yes, we routinely use them past the end time window - used to do it a LOT when DD was younger.

We've used FPs at varied attractions close to park closing time - that's when the FP backup is the worst. I think we've waited 30-40 minutes in the FP line for several different rides a half hour before closing.

We mistakenly got in the standby line for Soarin' at WDW in August at about 7:30 - I think the posted standby wait time was 45 minutes. We literally did not move in line for 40 minutes. It ended up taking us at least 90 minutes to ride. Lesson learned - never standby line Soarin' within 3 hours of park close.

Here I was thinking that all the Fastpass lines would be very short (or non-existent), but upon further reading, have discovered that they can be a longish wait, too!

I'm curious to know the LONGEST anyone's waited in a fastpass line, and which ride it was for?

Maybe you can help me understand this process better. It was my understanding that fastpass times are meant to reduce the wait times, but I guess if your window to return is 1pm-3pm and everyone that got that same timeframe comes back at 1pm (instead of sporadically between 1pm and 3pm), then the line would be longer, correct?

Then, there's the issue of people who get fastpasses for an earlier time window (say, 10am - 12pm) and then decide to return at 1pm, that could make that 1pm line even longer.

I am still not 'getting' how DL CMs will allow a 'late' return on the Fastpass times, as in the example I noted above, it can greatly affect Fastpass wait times, couldn't it?

Can someone shed some light on this. I am confused

Thanks!

20 minutes on Splash Mountain. 20 minutes on Soarin'. Usually, the lines are really fast and those 10 - 20 minutes you might way are way shorter than the hour or two you'd wait otherwise.

Now that you mention Soarin', I remember waiting in a 20-minute Fastpass line for the one time I rode it at Epcot, although I don't think I've ever waited more than 5-10 minutes for it with a Fastpass at DCA (and even less when I can use the single rider line.)
