What's the line for the monorail like after Illuminations?

We're going at the end of Sept. Will the line be be crazy long after Illuminations going back to Poly? If so, any suggestions? Thanks!

Yes this is always crowed. The fireworks is worth the view. Suggest take the bus back to your hotel. They move faster also you will not have to change from one monorail to another. Have a wonderful time.

Yes, the lines will be long, but if you want to ride the monorail anyway, take your time leaving the park. Besides, since you're staying at the Poly, you don't have to transfer if you don't want to. The walk from the TTC back to the Poly at night is one of our favorite things in all of WDW!

There are no buses from EPCOT to Poly...I tried that this past March. The monorails usually run pretty quickly, and if it is crowded...it won't be once you transfer monorails. Such a great perk to staying on the monorail line. Depending on the location of your longhouse, I would take the resort monorail back. It stops at Poly first. The reason I mention about the location of your longhouse is that the ones that are closer to GCH are a very far walk.
