What's the latest time to get off the ship???

What is the latest time that you must be off of the ship? I have heard that you have to be out of your rooms by 8 am (true or false) and that the doors are opened so leaving carryons in the room while you eat may not be a good idea.

Also does anyone know about the Disney transfers and what time the buses leave for the airport? Are there a couple buses at different times or are they there at 8:30 am?

YEs, it is true about the doors being open after 8am... We brought our carryons with us, I think just about everyone did this... Not too too bad..

Everyone must be off the ship by 9am, in order to properly clean and get the ship ready for the next people.

You will see a ton of Disney buses at all different times at the port to transfer you. We only went this route once, but had our choice of many many buses.

You can stay on later if you want to - you just have to hid really really well - but when they find you it won't be a plesant experience

Thanks for the details, with this said, and the fact that our flight does not leave until 3:30 is there anything within minutes of the airport that we can go instead of hanging out there for 5 hours? What is the closest mall - or better yet Target (don't have this in canada but am lobbying for one )?

There is Kennedy space center quite near the port. Maybe you could check some details online.

I year ya about the Target, lots of stores here in Montreal, but not that...

So, there I am no help at all...

There is a new SuperTarget on 192, there is also one up by the Mall at Millenia, right off I-4, exit 78 I think. Florida Mall is right off the beeline...there is a regular Target right next to the mall on Sand Lake Rd. That would keep you pretty close to the airport...though we usually shop and dine at the airport while waiting for our flight...it's fun to watch the crazy people in the security line... but sad to see the DCL people waiting for people who are crusing that day, since it won't be you

When I have a later flight, I drive to Downtown Disney, and do what I do best SHOP!!!
