What's the latest on the Confisco Character Breakfast?

We did this 2-3 years ago with DS. At that time it was on weekends and the Suess characters were there. We are taking my nephew (age 7) in July and I think he will enjoy this. Is it still just on weekends? What characters show up? We'll be at PBH so will get PS. Should I get a reservation anyway? Can I get an AP discount?

We went this past Dec. I believe we went Tues. The night before I called from PBH for a reservation just in case. I wanted 9:30 but she she was able to get me only 9:00 am. Not a bigggie. We arrived & we're seated immdiately. The characters were Spiderman, Cat in the Hat & Thing 1 & 2. They came around took pix, interacted with my DS (3). The food was ok, nothing spectacular but not bad either. Standard breakfast buffet stuff. It was my son's b-day so Thing 1 & 2 came out with a big decorated cookie & sang Happy B-day. It was nice. My son seemed to enjoy it but at 3 he liked the crayons they gave him more ! It was worth the experience but I doubt I'll repeat it again. See I was spoiled when we did the breakfast character meal at Ohana's at the Polynesian where the food which & it was great was brought to you & they had kid games & gave every kid a maraca & there was the great view but oh well we had a good time at Confisco anyway. Just my opinion but I think maybe if my DS would of been 4 or 5 he would of enjoyed it more. The cat in the hat did get a smile out of him though I thimk it's worth at least one try.

P.S. We did show our AP & got a discount. Forgot how much though !

I didn't know they still did it!!! We had lunch way back in 1999, but returned both 2002 and 2004 wanting to take DD but was told no longer did character dining. whats the menu like? which characters appear?

The menu is the standard breakfast fare, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes etc. The characters are Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 & 2 & then Spidey appears later. They all stop, take pixs, autographs, Spidey interacts a little. It was great for some photo ops that you can take or they'll take for you & you can buy them later. The food wasn't bad the same you would get at your average buffet restaurant but it was hot & plentiful. We enjoyed it.

When we went last spring it was $15.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids (3-10)
