What's the latest on renters enjoying member perks?

For example, do their keys still say "member"? Do they still get to take advantage of free valet parking? Can they pool hop? I don't want to get into a discussion of whether or not renters should get these perks, just want to know if they do. We're renting ponts to pay cash for a cruise and I want to tell my renters what to expect. Thanks.

Forgive mis-types. Had a run-in with a table saw and I'm typing one-handed, cuz the other one is all bandaged up.

I would tell my renters, that technically they are NOT allowed to take advantage of the member perks. While their key card will say DVC Member, and they may be able to get some of the perks, do NOT get huffy or upset if they are denied the perks, or if a CM asks for a real DVC Membership card.

If you tell them they ARE entitled to those perks, and they are denied to them, guess who they actually may have a legal claim against, because you in a sense, guaranteed them the perks.

The keys do say DVC member on them and unless the CM asks to see the DVC membership card they will get to use all the privelages that regular members do.

When I occasionally rent, I tell them the perks are not guaranteed but may be offered and leave it up to them and DVC. Since few if any of the perks cost DVC any money, I think it's a no lose situation.

They may be asked for their Blue DVC Member card to valet park.
