It was all going so smoothly... until it wasn't? We received word from Fidelity on 7/17 that we passed ROFR, and that was the last thing we heard. It's now been two weeks of silence, and Rachel isn't responding to my emails or calls for status updates. Shouldn't the estoppels be in by now? It doesn't typically take this long, does it? I was assuming that I would have gotten an email with the closing documents by now. Can I call the title company (TT&M) and ask them where things stand? Or am I just being impatient and unreasonable (which is entirely possible)? :confused3

I don't think you are being impatient or unreasonable, but I would take a step back and breathe for a moment. You're within the timeline and although it is nice to receive instant return communication, there are a million possible reasons why Rachel hasn't gotten back to you yet. Fidelity is a reputable business and you are in good hands, so take it easy and know that this will happen sooner rather than later. Good luck!

It took almost 3 weeks from passing ROFR to getting the email with closing documents, then another couple of weeks to get closed. This was with TSS, not Fidelity. We, and the sellers returned paperwork promptly, so I guess it can take some time.

You might try contacting the escrow agent if you have a contact.

I have never, ever waited for a contact back from Rachel for more thn 2 hours, in fact I just went back to my inbox to take a look and I had #different email conversations with her on the 23rd. I would call and email tmrw, and when you call ask if she is in the office if she doesn't answer. hen she has been on vacation the receptionist has told me. As ELMC said, take a breath and call tmrw:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone. :) I'm working on breathing and thinking soothing thoughts. Honestly, I would be less irritated/concerned if I was getting some kind of response, any kind of response, from Rachel. Even an email that says that she is looking into it and will get back to me. The absolute silence is what's bugging me most. I will try again today. Perhaps she is just on vacation... Thanks again!

Just call and ask to speak to Rachael or Sharon. Either of them will be able to give you an update.
