Whats the deal with underlined words?

Why are words underlined in peoples posts?

The last time I saw a word underlined was on the resort boards. The word was actually a link to another website athough it did not appear to be a link.

No these words are underlined in yellow, and they have appeared in my posts without me doing anything. They are not mispelled words either. Look in the mission space opening date at AVs post. This event happens very rarely.
