Ive seen a few references here to something special with a key under the mat at the Muppet show, or something like that.

Can someone explain that to me please?
Ive looked and havent really seen it explained anywhere.

TIA!

Just as you enter the door from the outside courtyard, look to your right.

A sign says... "Key under mat."

If you walk over to that area and lift the mat, there's the key.

Nothing happens.
It's just a little "inside joke" for folks who know about it.

The mat is located right next to the turnsiles.
I think the sign says something like be back in 5, key is under the mat (something like that I can't remember LOL). If you lift the mat there's a key. There is nothing special happening like the don't pull the rope well but it's cute to find and people around you think you are NUTS LOL

Thanks!
So many little details like that...I love Disney!
They dont miss anything!

That's especially true with the Muppets attraction.

When you're in the pre-show room, look around at everything in the room.

I mean LOOK very carefully at EVERYTHING.

That room is filled with sight-gags, double entendre signs and other little jokes.
We like to time our arrival so that we are in the room before the video pre-show begins on the overhead monitors.

That pre-show video is so funny in itself that it's hard to try to look at all of the artifacts in the room for fear on missing something on the screens.

Better make two trips through the attraction, just so you can see everything the pre-show room has to offer.

Thats exactly why I like Disney so much!

They not only pay attention to details but they go out of their way to add things that most people dont ever know are there!

Thats the magic of it for me.
No matter how often you go, theres always going to be something new to see...something that you missed the time before.

the joke is that the sign is at the security office.

I thought it was very cute and a neat little joke, like many of the sight-gags in the waiting area.
