What's the deal with resorts being closed but DVC portion open?

We are staying at CCV in February. If we want to eat or get carry out from Captain Cooks (or any other quick service in MK area), will they let us drive and park or at least let my husband wait in the car while I run in to get the food? It seems really inefficient to have to take boat from WL to MK and then boat from MK to Poly to get carryout.

Why wouldn’t you go to Roaring Fork or Geyser Point?

I don’t ever remember a boat from CR to MK. And I have stayed there a lot!

Because of Covid, they were not doing the CR, WL, FW loop. I don’t know if that has started back up yet or not.

Where only DVC resorts are open, they are paying for all the transportation to and from the resort. So it may be a DVC thing, too.
