When my daughter was 4, we ate at the Ohana breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. She was literally bouncing in her seat waiting for all the characters to come to our table. As soon as she saw Pluto she started yelling "It's Plu dog, Mommy, it's Plu dog!" It took me a quick second to realize she meant to say Pluto and several people were laughing. She must have said it a hundred times while we patiently waited for Pluto! Very cute and funny :goodvibes Anyone else want to share?

Not the first to ever say this, I'm sure, but ...

DS, 9, asked why we couldn't get a FP while waiting in the monorail line after Wishes last trip! :rotfl:

When we took him for the first time when he was 4 we had been in the Magic Kingdom for one day and then had gone to swim at the Polynesian pool. A lady at the pool asked him what his favorite ride was and he said "Dumbo- but I haven't got to ride it yet". (We had passed it up because the line was too long.) Well the next day we stood in line in the heat to ride Dumbo. Afterwards, I read in one of the guide books that "any 4-year-old worth his salt would want to ride Dumbo". They were right about that for sure.

We just got back yesturday and on Sat night after the parade at MK (we had told my dd that it was the last night and we would be heading home the next day) my dd looked at me and my husband and said "we can just stay one more week" like it was just that easy!! It was pretty funny and cute. We celebrated my dd's 3rd birthday while there last week, and we told her that when her 8 month old brother turns 3 we will go back again. Well, this morning she woke me up by asking "Did Ethan turn 3 yet?" It was tooo funny.

When my daughter, now 10, was 6, I really thought she had the character thing figured out. I thought it wouldn't be as magic for her. Well, my fears were put to rest as we were rushing up Main St. to leave the MK to get to the GF for our dinner with Cinderella & friends at 1900 Park Fare. At that moment, Cinderellabration was being performed in front of the castle. My daughter stopped in her tracks, put her hand on her hip, and declared, "I don't know WHY we're in such a hurry. Cinderella can't go to THAT dinner until she's finished with THIS show!"

It was funny, but also precious that Disney was still just as magic for her as always.

We went last summer to celebrate our DD's 11th and 4th birthdays. Because of the age difference in them DH & I would split up and take them to different rides/attractions. Well, on our last night there DH took our oldest to ride Splash & Big Thunder one more time and I took our youngest to Fantasyland to ride Dumbo, Small World & Pooh. We got finished with these before DH & oldest DD got back so I asked her what she wanted to do and she said "Let's go to Mickey's Feel My Magic show"...I just cracked up!!

This didn't actually happen at Disneyworld but on the trip home. We had stayed at the Contemporary and our grandchildren loved the monorail going through the hotel. When we stopped for the night on the way home, our 2 year old granddaughter jumped out of the car and said "come on let's go ride the monorail". We felt sad that she thought this hotel would have a monorail too but it was very cute.

We took our family, including our then four year old grandson to Disney. As we were driving to the resort area we went under the Welcome sign. DGS got very excited and yelled, "Hey look! I found Didneyworld!"

We make that same announcement every time we arrive.

On the last night of our trip last year, we were at DTD. As we were leaving to come home, both my twins were crying because they didn't want to leave. I told them it would be okay because we would come back again.

I just couldn't get them to calm down. I asked them what was wrong, and they told me we couldn't leave because Mickey was looking for them and if we left Mickey would be sad that he didn't find them.

I asked them how they knew Mickey was looking for them. They both said, "See mommy look up." They were pointing at those lights (spotlights) in the sky from DTD. They said, "See mommy thats Mickey's flashlight. He's looking for us."

They were so sad, but really cute. They ask me now if when we go if Mickey will be looking for them with his "big flashlight."

This didn't happen at Disney World but it is Disney related. My mom bought my daughter a knit cap with Piglet ears on the top of it. She called it her "pig hat." We soon realized that she thought that was the character's name, lol. Everytime she saw Piglet on the Winnie the Pooh show she'd say "It's Pig Hat!" LOL So cute.

This happened when my dd was 8 years old at Disneyland. It was a chilly afternoon and while not raining hard there was a definite drizzle. I was in the hotel room with her not wanting to go out in the weather. She turned to me and said "It is my vacation too and I want to go to Disneyland." She had a valid point. I put on my Mickey sweat shirt and poncho and we headed to the park. It was one of the greatest days of the vacation. There were no lines for the rides and it never did out and out pour rain.

Well I don't have a child so I'm going to tell everyone about something I said.

I was at the Crystal Palace with my mom and brother and I was eagerly waiting the arrival of Tigger to our table. Well apparently I got a little too rambunctious and my mom said "If you want Tigger to come you have to behave!" and I looked at her and said "But momma, I am being have!" I was probably 5, maybe 6.

Aww, these are all so cute!! I really love "Mickey's Feel My Magic show" and "Plu Dog"! :earsboy:

Okay, well, my friends took their kids there for the first time and their DD~6 at the time, was so excited when she got in the MK early in the morning and was looking down the way at the Castle. Looking so cute in her little ponytails, she grabbed her mom and dad's hands and started singing, "I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.!..." at the top of her lungs, swinging mom and dad's arms. She recognized the street with Cinderella's Castle from the Disney sing-a-long video(can't remember which one right now) and was one happy disney girl! I love this story! :goodvibes

One day, after trudging through Epcot in the hot August sun, my family decided it was time to head back to the resort for a rest and a swim. But.... there was one more thing my DH wanted to see. I promised my 4 year old that we would go back right after we went back to get what he wanted in Japan. She stopped in her tracks with a disgusted look on her face and said "I'm NOT walking all the way to Japan". Maybe you had to be there, but it was really funny at the time, I think she meant the real Japan.

I think this thread is a better fit here on our Community Board.:goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

My favorite is when dd9 and I were watching the castle show. This was when they first had the characters with the moving eyes and mouths. I was sure she had the character thing figured out, as a pp said. So I pointed out how cool it was that Mickey's mouth and eyes were moving as he talked. She calmly said, "Yeah, Mom, it's only the pretend Mickeys who can't talk. That's the real one."

This didn't happen at Disney World, but shortly after we had returned from our trip. I had dropped my 4 year old DGD off at preschool and was headed back to my DD house. I picked up my sunglasses and started to wipe them off. My 2 year old DGD asked me what I was doing so I told her I was wiping the dust off my sunglasses. Then she asked "Pixie dust Gramma." Maybe we have been brainwashing these children. :rotfl:

 My DS was 5 years old when we last went to Disney. His idol back then was Woody. He LOVES that character! Right before our trip, my dad got him a life size Woody doll. It was as big as he was, and he carried it everywhere. On the day we were going to MGM my DS was so nervous to meet his idol, he struggled with just the right words to say to him. When he walked up to Woody, my boy said the first thing that came to his mind, "I have a big Woody" the Woody character looked at me and covered his mouth. I had to explain that he was talking about a doll!!! Everyone around us burst out laughing. So much so that my boy started laughing and he was able to relax and take a cute picture. But honestly, with all the names they could have named that character, why in the world did they choose Woody???

After breakfast at Chef Mickey's and an all-day visit at the MK, we put our sleeping 3 yr. old daughter in the van and drove back to the Polynesian.

When we arrived and my wife pulled her from the car seat, she sprang straight up, eyes wide open and blurted out "where's Goofy?"

It's been a running joke for three years. We're going down in a couple of weeks I'm sure it will get bantered about some more.
