I havent' seen much posted in regards to the newest place at AKL and i'm wondering if anyone has a review?

I've seen some reviews on the Review boards. TDC Nala had two, I think, in a recent thread. We'll be eating there next month. When I made the ressie, the person at WDW DINE told me that he is also eating there next month and his colleagues all say it is delish.

Thanks for the info. Headed over there to find the thread. I'll let you know how it is when we come back

We love Sanaa. Ate there again last week.

The Naan is incredible there. My favorite thing is the Tandori Chicken on the lunch menu. It is served on Naan.

We tried it for lunch in August. The food was very good, but the meal took close to two hours -plus travel time. We were mostly okay with that; it was our break. In some ways we didn't really mind the time while we were there; the animals and decor were really nice. Disney really spent $$$ to make the decor nice. The bathrooms are my new favorite bathrooms on property! It didn't hurt that they were spotlessly clean! We were just sort of shocked whehn we looked at what time it was after we finished. We also got one of the slower waiters.

Here's my more detailed take on the food. We are spoiled for Indian food. We come from an area that has excellent Indian food. Like much of Disney, Sanaa came off more American than Indian. American food with Indian flavors. I think many Americans will find even that too exotic for their tastes -especially if you aren't familiar with Indian flavors. Many folks find naan exotic, even though it's a white wheat flour bread. I love naan, but I see it as flat white bread.

If you like the way Disney does ethnic foods, Sanaa is great. If you're hoping to your fix of authentic :scared1:SPICY!:scared1::eek: at Sanaa, you probably won't. Still, it's Disney's first full time foray into Indian cuisine (as far as I know - excpet for F&W), and for offering it, they are to be highly commended. It has been too long in coming. I am certain many families will be very happy to be able to finally get naan at WDW.

We loved our meal at Sanaa. I'm not sure guests know that you can ask for your entree to be spicy, just as you would at any other indian restaurant. It's not a problem at all. I think they probably should note that on the menu, or the server should mention it. Too many folks think they are stuck with sort of American blandish when they'd like a little (or a lot of) heat. Ask for what you like, they'll deliver!:thumbsup2

Sanaa is our new favorite! The bread sampler app. is the best. They have a fabulous garlic pickle spread that is super spicey. It's a must do for us each trip!

Excellent reviews, exactly what I was looking for. We are big fans of Indian food and were hoping this place would be able to satisfy our love of it. Thank you everyone for replying. Can't wait!

Thanks for this tip! We love spicy food and are accustomed to very authentic Indian food. I imagined that it would be on the mild side as a fusion restaurant but good to know that you can get it spicier! :thumbsup2

We ate there in Sept and it was one of the best meals....If you drink wine ask for a wine flight. The breads and dips yummy. The meals we great. Even my stepmom who would eat chicken nuggets at every meal said her steak was the best of the trip (even though she eats it very well done.) Loved Sanaa

I did not know that. DW and I looked at the menu when making ADRs for our last trip, and we were worried that it would be too "Americanized". I'll put it back on the "should try" list, though it may lose out to another trip to Boma.

(They really should sell beer cheese soup and zebra domes at all the resorts. . . or at least, at whichever resort I happen to be staying. . . )
