What's the chances of a discount?

I have friends that want to join me and my children at the WL the end of May. I already have ressies on points for VWL, and since this person has never been and does not usually go anywhere without her husband, she want to stay at the same resort. So far that means that she would have to $239 for a standard room. I'm hoping that I can get her an AP discount. What's the chances?

I'm going in May. I went ahead and booked with a AAA rate. What about your friend renting points so she's in the villas too?

I'm going in May as well and I've pretty much given up hope that there are going to be AP discounts released...

In fact, I was going to wait and book when the rates came out, but today I'm just going to call up and book with no discount, just to be sure I get a room...

It's a bit late to be trying to rent points for May. A lot of May is already booked with points. She could try to get a cancellation from another DVC member, though. It would be long shot.
