Ok.... I've been err absent from the dis for a while... Busy as always, and of course it's fall which means we have to finish up all of our outdoor projects and winterize the house!

Happy belated anniversary! Also, blanket forts are AWESOME! I have to say having kids really brought all these fun things back for us and I love it! Also, love your day 4 plans, my favorite part being the Osbourne Lights!! I really hope they are there for our Dec 2014 trip with all the rumors floating about......

25 days??? That's awesome! So excited for you!!! I love DHS. I could never pick a favorite park, but I absolutely love Tower of Terror and I'm a huge huge huge Star Wars fan. Absolutely cannot wait to ride Star Tours multiple times!!
It's coming up so fast! Only 22 today! I can't wrap my head around how fast it's coming up!

Hope your Sci-Fi experience is better this time. I really liked it the one time I ate there.
I'm glad to hear that, positive reviews are always good. I just wasn't a big fan of the food, but hopefully we can change that this time.

It's so incredible, I recommend a Christmas time trip to anyone who loves the holidays. It's magical!

Oh I LOVE BLANKET FORTS! I love forts in general - blankets, cardboard, climbing under the couch.... But blanket forts are the best! That's the awesome thing about being an adult - you can make a HUGE blanket fort and WHO'S gonna tell you no???
Many have tried (to tell me no) but it's my house, my rules and both adult (to use the term lightly) residents of this house love blanket forts!

You're making me nervous with talk of this "25 sleeps" - especially since we're going at the same time. WHOA that's SOON! Wow, I definitely need to plan either 6+ months in advance or the week before, because even though it can't get here soon enough, it's still approaching far too fast!
It's REALLY coming fast, isn't it?? I totally get that, I'm the same way, either lots and lots of advanced planning, or almost none at all would be preferrable to something in between.

I love the idea of having TSMM FP+ later in the day, don't you?? It would be nice not to only be riding it first thing in the morning!
Yeah! Then you don't feel like you got the best part over with too early.

I'm up in the air on PP. I'd love to do it, but I also love to spread my money on to a lot of different things. I don't feel like I'd get value out of having someone else take my picture - even though they're awesome pictures with Stitch and Simba and Tink! If I wasn't solo, though, I'd consider it so I had some pictures of myself. As it is, I'll be asking for others to take my picture, or doing selfies.
We still haven't decided what we want to do... and we really need to make up our minds! But every time I'm thinking no, DH is thinking yes and vice versa.

Blanket Fort??? THAT... IS... AWESOME!!!!!! I feel sad for those who lose that childlike quality. It is the absolute best attribute one can have I think.
You know, I feel sad for them too. I get people rolling their eyes and telling me to grow up, but I just don't get why I should have to act the way they think I should, what actually constitutes growing up (I have a house, a job and a husband... I feel like I've checked the boxes there! ) and what's so bad about doing fun things as an adult. Oh well, I'm definitely never going to stop!

No, I haven't. Last (and only) Christmas trip we just saw them when they were already on. Still incredible, but it's on my to-do list this year to see them actually turn on!

Thanks Brenda! Yep, blanket forts. I'm going to try to get a picture of our blanket fort today. It's especially cute with two dogs and two cats sharing our pillows.

Yay for getting rid of junk that netted you some Disney $. I found it amusing to think that you have to actually get US currency to vacation here. I never think of that! (Of course!)
Hehehe you guys won't take our money for some reason. Something about the plastic material and rainbow of colours. I get so confused with American money! You have a bill for $1 and all the money is the same colour!

How awesome that you don't have to do the TSMM dash since you already have your FP+ reservation. And RnRC too.
It's going to make things pretty relaxed in that regard for sure.

I'm with you about dining at Sci-Fi...I don't go there for the amazing food. I tried the buffalo chicken nuggets and they were decent but I wasn't a fan of the onion rings with the Cajun dip.
The atmosphere is pretty cool, I really want Johnny to see it. He was looking at the buffalo chicken nuggets, I'll have to tell him you said they were decent. Decent sure is better than bad!

Fun day planned at DHS!

For our family trip in January, even with FP+ reserved for it I'll probably still herd the gang to TSMM to ride standby at rope drop. I'm too addicted to not ride more than once!
Haha I totally get that. We love that ride too and usually ride at least twice! But with the new system you can do the stampede AND have a FP+ for later in the day!

Can't wait to see your pictures of the Osborne Dancing Lights! I have yet to have seen them myself but they always look amazing from the pictures I've seen.
I honestly hope I can do them some justice. I would LOVE to see what photos you would come up with during the holiday season there!

We do not, and it still occurs to me to cancel it, but I really do like the atmosphere and the biggest reason I want to go is so Johnny can see it. He never has, and has often remarked that he'd like to see the inside. I'm usually willing to give things a second chance, (but if the food is terrible twice, then they're permanently off the list! )
Oh the lights, the lights! We planned this whole thing around the lights and decorations. I'm so excited!

Oh your day at DHS looks like a lot of fun. We are basically planning a similar day and hoping we get the fastpass we want. I agree no Tower of Terror, but DH wants to try it so bad so maybe he can do that and DD and I will check out Playhouse Disney. She is a little old for it but loves Doc McSuffins.
I'm not a fan of ToT! DH likes it but not enough to do it without me hehe. Playhouse Disney sounds like a great alternative. (Also I'm a big believer in never being too old for anything that you like!)

I guess I know never to go to Sci Fi drive in. So many people seem put off by the food but love the environment??? HMMM
Yeah it's kind of an awkward restaurant.. You want to go for the atmosphere but skip the food! I haven't been there since 2007, but the reviews haven't really improved. The atmosphere is so cool though!

Good. I looked and DHS is open until 8pm the day we are going. So, I don't know if we will be able to swing by the lights after Fantasmic or not. Of course, we might be pooped and ready to head back to the villa too. I haven't done a trip report, but I do have a lot of plans and we are going to be BUSY.

Am I remembering correctly? We have friends going with us and I know that the would love to see them. They have never been to Disney before - and who knows if they will ever go again. So, they want to take in as much as possible.
