Holy cow! It has been 16 days since my last post. I'm so busy, I just can't keep up with the Dis! Today is my anniversary (3 years with my darling!) and it's another busy day, but luckily tomorrow is my day off and I have nothing planned... other than catching up on chores

So here's hoping for a proper update tomorrow.

I think we were hoping to be there a little early, I don't have my plans with me right now but I know we have a meal around maybe 3:30 that day. SM sounds like fun!

Thank you all for the happy anniversaries! We kept it low key since our trip is our anniversary celebration but we did have a nice meal... which we ate in our blanket fort. More on that story coming up soon.

Howdy folks!

Sure has been a busy month so far. Can you believe we only have 25 sleeps to go?? I'm starting to get panicky because I feel like it's not enough time... but I have nothing that I need to do!

I've checked a few more things off my to-do list, including ordering more contact lenses (and some new glasses while I was at it!) packed a bit more, and got some American cash. The biggest thing on my mind right now is to Photopass or not to Photopass. We still can't decide.

This past weekend we had a long weekend for Thanksgiving. I'm still eating turkey.

It was a really busy weekend though! We had a yard sale and ended up getting rid of a ton of stuff. (Converted it into Disney money!)

This may come as a bit of a shock, ( ) but Johnny and I are big kids at heart. You know, the whole loving Disney and all that points to that conclusion, but if you needed any more proof, you should check out our living room. It's a blanket fort. It's the little things we do to keep the time going by until we get to Disney!

(This is not MY blanket fort... but now I wish it was!)

Speaking of Disney, I've made my peace with FP/FP+. Johnny emailed Disney and someone emailed him back telling him that he could use FP+ with the old system which really calmed us both down. I mean, I know that's what everyone was saying we could do, but somehow it was nice to hear it from Disney. Let's face it, using both, there is no downside to FP+!

I've been slacking on the day to day plans, so let's get on with another one of those, shall we?

Day 4
November 15

We are starting the day with breakfast a quiet affair in our room, then heading out to Disney's Hollywood Studios for the day!



We are actually planning the full day at DHS.

Once upon a time I would have said that we would start our day with a mad dash for a TSM fp, but with FP+ in place, that's taken care of.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith – 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

First things first -- straight to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster!



Depending on how long that takes, we may fit in a show or another ride, maybe some shopping or even a snack

(Like one of these!)


before we head to...

Toy Story Midway Mania! – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM



A nice early time with no rushing with the crowd. I can live with that.

We will have to watch our timing because we have one more FP+ to use for the day...

Star Tours® - The Adventures Continue – 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM



We tend to spend less time in DHS than any other park and since we want to be back here for the evening, I thought after this might be a great opportunity to get back to the hotel, relax, freshen up and maybe even have a swim before...

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Dinner – 4:45 PM

Am I excited for this meal? No, not really. I'm excited for the atmosphere but not the food. I really hope this time it changes my mind! Johnny and I might just order a few appetizers here since that was what appealed to us most on the menu.

After dinner we will be staying in the park but not for rides! No, what we will be waiting anxiously for is...

So incredible, and so magical, and so colourful! I can't wait!

We will end our evening on that high note and head back for a good night's sleep.

25 days??? That's awesome! So excited for you!!! I love DHS. I could never pick a favorite park, but I absolutely love Tower of Terror and I'm a huge huge huge Star Wars fan. Absolutely cannot wait to ride Star Tours multiple times!!

Hope your Sci-Fi experience is better this time. I really liked it the one time I ate there.

Just seeing pictures of those lights blows my mind. I need to schedule a Christmas-time trip.

Oh I LOVE BLANKET FORTS! I love forts in general - blankets, cardboard, climbing under the couch.... But blanket forts are the best! That's the awesome thing about being an adult - you can make a HUGE blanket fort and WHO'S gonna tell you no???

You're making me nervous with talk of this "25 sleeps" - especially since we're going at the same time. WHOA that's SOON! Wow, I definitely need to plan either 6+ months in advance or the week before, because even though it can't get here soon enough, it's still approaching far too fast!

I love the idea of having TSMM FP+ later in the day, don't you?? It would be nice not to only be riding it first thing in the morning!

I'm up in the air on PP. I'd love to do it, but I also love to spread my money on to a lot of different things. I don't feel like I'd get value out of having someone else take my picture - even though they're awesome pictures with Stitch and Simba and Tink! If I wasn't solo, though, I'd consider it so I had some pictures of myself. As it is, I'll be asking for others to take my picture, or doing selfies.

Blanket Fort??? THAT... IS... AWESOME!!!!!! I feel sad for those who lose that childlike quality. It is the absolute best attribute one can have I think.

I am so looking forward to seeing those lights again. They really are amazing. Have you ever seen them when they turn them on? That's a truly magical moment.

Yay for getting rid of junk that netted you some Disney $. I found it amusing to think that you have to actually get US currency to vacation here. I never think of that! (Of course!)

How awesome that you don't have to do the TSMM dash since you already have your FP+ reservation. And RnRC too.

I'm with you about dining at Sci-Fi...I don't go there for the amazing food. I tried the buffalo chicken nuggets and they were decent but I wasn't a fan of the onion rings with the Cajun dip.

For our family trip in January, even with FP+ reserved for it I'll probably still herd the gang to TSMM to ride standby at rope drop. I'm too addicted to not ride more than once!

Can't wait to see your pictures of the Osborne Dancing Lights! I have yet to have seen them myself but they always look amazing from the pictures I've seen.

Oh your day at DHS looks like a lot of fun. We are basically planning a similar day and hoping we get the fastpass we want. I agree no Tower of Terror, but DH wants to try it so bad so maybe he can do that and DD and I will check out Playhouse Disney. She is a little old for it but loves Doc McSuffins.

I guess I know never to go to Sci Fi drive in. So many people seem put off by the food but love the environment??? HMMM

Happy Anniversary!! We are going to DHS on our fourth day too! But we are planning to stay all day at park straight through until FANTASMIC! Do you know when the Osbourne lights start? I hope that they will be on when we are there too. I think we will be on 11/13.
