"What's the Catch - Do I Not Get Bacon?" - 11/27 - TR started!

Minor threadjack/want to share my happy. Good news: My Feb trip is booked! Bad news: The dates are different than I originally thought and the BoG reservation I made is making scheduling the rest of the trip a huge headache for some reason!
Wonderful news! Congrats on booking your trip!
But oh no about the BOG ressie! Keep trying, especially with the new system where every cancellation needs to be made early to avoid a penalty, things just might work out and one might pop up!

For someone like me... going solo and I love to plan EVERYTHING, I think it's great. The MBs worry me more than the FP+. I'm worried it will fall off and I won't know it until it's too late.
I'm pretty sure the bands are tight enough that they won't fall off, at least that's how it looks to me. Kind of like a watch that you can adjust.

Just the idea of using the Magic Bands gives me such anxiety lol...I love to plan my trips, but planning FP times just seems annoying to me. Some things need to be spontaneous you know? :confused3 Oh well!
Yes, I completely agree! Rides are a spontaneous thing. If I want to go to DHS and ride rock n roller coaster over and over for 8 hours, I should be able to do half of those rides with fast passes! Lmao

Thanks so much for clearing up that questions I asked about the 2 parks. My husbands TA boss just went and said she was able to do FP+ at two different parks???? might be because she is a TA and was trying something our or might be it works sometimes? who knows I think the over planner in me is going to love MB and am hoping we get them as we are thinking have FP+ for the Holidays...major plus even on rides that do not normally need them we are thinking already about what we want the for so in 2 weeks when we hit 60 we are ready to book
Hmmm I wonder if they're opening it up a little to use at two parks? That would be great.
I can definitely see the plus sides for busy times!

I am all caught up!!! I have enjoyed reading of your plans and I am glad that you were able to go to Disney this year. Could you stay around about 3 days longer so we could meet up? :rotfl: I'm subscribing so I can keep up with your PTR from now on! And when I have time I need to go back and read all of your photography tips. I would like to have a good camera without spending an excess of money on it (I have to save that for Disney after all.) What would you recommend?
Omg I keep missing people by so little! I could probably talk Johnny into staying three days longer though! Lol
Are you looking for a small pocket camera? Big SLR (change lenses)? Or something in between? I love canon cameras for every level hahaha

The FP+ is giving me tons of anxiety for our trip!! Since I can't link tickets till we are there I can't do any FP+ and since most resorts will be using them when we are there I am afraid there will not be any times available for TSM for us!

Oh no, that's not fun! I'm sure they will be reserving some non " + " fastpasses for guests not in the tests, but still. I can see how that would cause some issues. Hope it goes smoothly for you!

I'm not gonna lie - that new policy is crimping my style a bit! I'll probably book 3 of our five TS meals and then leave 2 open to wing it? :confused3 There are a few days that I don't want to plan down to the last second, but I also want to make sure to use all my TS credits!

Eh, whatever, there's always SOMEWHERE to eat, right? Especially at Epcot! Plus, I think reservations made before October 31 won't incur the penalty. I'd never no show, but I think 24 hours in advance for a dinner reservation is a little nutty.

Are you going to be in MK before the MVMCP (like, 4ish like all the other party people!), or are you going to be showing up at 7? I would really love a Dismeet; maybe we could hit the TTA or even Space (I will be solo, so we could fill out a car).

I am definitely starting to get antsy and wish I had a PTR. I just want to TALK about my trip, and no one CARES. :rotfl:

I care! All I want to do is talk about my trip and the next trip too. I will talk to you about it! :)

These two quotes are why I'm a DISboard member. If I say Disney one more time around my extended family they may hang me before my trip. I needed an outlet so I started to come here.

ZehnJahren, you should definitely start a PTR. It's not too late. We could have another place to talk Disney!

Yes, agree completely! I love being able to come here and read about other peoples trips - it keeps me going in between my trips! Also, we all have one thing in common and don't mind sharing it - our love of Disney! I can't believe its been almost two years since we have been there. 4 weeks from today is our next visit. :cool1:

Oh how exciting!!! You are only a little bit ahead of me!!!

You will be amazed at the New Fantasyland! It's awesome!!! I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Could not have said this better. SOOO true. this is the perfect place to just talk Disney and well not feel like everyone around is looking at you like a crazy person.

Would love to read your PTR

Thanks, and I just started reading your trip report too! I am really excited to see the new Fantasy land. And we have friends traveling with us with a 9 year old daughter - her two wishes were to have her hair done at Bibbidy bobbidy boo and to go to Be our Guest. I got us FP for lunch there on our first full day! And she got an apt at DD the first night to get her hair done. Should be a magical trip! :)

Another reason I love reading PTRs is because most people reading them also write TRs. I can't tell you how many times I've gone through PTR threads just to get TR links out of signatures to give me something to do on a lazy day! Just looking at the signatures on this page, I've already read most of these TRs already! :rotfl:

Me too! Have been looking at signatures and reading more and more reports. However, I have not written one myself YET. Maybe this will be the year.

Hi Wendy! As much as I'm a planner, I ditched several FP+ reservations and didn't really care so much. But for me, I really liked the MB and the FP+. I didn't try to change anything after we initially booked them so that may cause me to have a different perspective. But overall, I loved the convenience of the MB so they get a :thumbsup2 but I also loved the FP+ so I also give them a :thumbsup2! One thing that we did was to not book FP+ for every day. (Then again, we were there 15 days so I think that's why I was less worried.)

In the end I think you will go and have a fabulous time with or without FP + reservations working well. :goodvibes

Good to know, thanks! I'm such a worrier.

I'm going to Epcot on my first day and won't get there until after lunchtime, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to schedule some FPs ahead of time!!

I do believe you're right about anything booked before October 31 won't be affected, at least that's the impression I got. I think 24 hours is pretty strict, anything can happen the day of to make you have to cancel... oh well, I guess we'll have to see how it goes once it's in place! :confused3

I think we were hoping to be there a little early, I don't have my plans with me right now but I know we have a meal around maybe 3:30 that day. SM sounds like fun!
I care! Start a PTR, there's still time!

Isn't it great that we all have this same problem and at the same time, this fantastic outlet? :grouphug:

I am definitely hoping to change my mind about the whole FP+ system while I'm there. Especially because we're short on spare time in our trip, I almost feel pressured to get everything done! :rotfl:

I agree 100%, it will work out (I just have to worry about it in the mean time!)

Good to know, thanks! I'm such a worrier.

I'm a bit of a worrier too, I get it. ;)
That's a definite plus to the FP+! I hope you can get the FPs you want.
