What's the best week to go in May 2009??

We're able to be very flexible and go any week in May 2009. Does anybody know yet if there are certain times to avoid?? I was thinking maybe May 1-8 but if it's still busy from spring breakers or anything else special going on, I'd rather switch and go later. I would like to go before rates go up on May 22. Thanks for any help... love the DIS!! :cool1:

We decided on the 4th-15th. Spring breaks are over and school is still in session. The only hiccup might be mothers day weekend but that wouldn't affect you if you leave on the 8th.

We went this past May the week after Mothers Day and it was AMAZING! The weather was great (not humid yet and it only rained once for an hour or so), the crowds were pretty low (compared to last week of August and first week of December), and the lovebugs never really showed up this year! It may very well be my new favorite time of year to go! :thumbsup2

We are planning my daughter's 5th bday for memorial day weekend. I am kindof nervous about the crowds for that weekend.

We're planning on taking our first family WDW vacation in April - I'd like to know how weather and crowds are at that time. Originally we were going to stick to Sept / October but I just can't wait that long!!! :rotfl:
