You all make such beautiful and creative designs! Thanks for all you do. I am looking at the different options for requesting some invites, but I'm wondering, how do most people print them? I was hoping I could do them on some kind of cardstock-like paper. Or can you print them like a photo with a matte finish? What do you all recommend?

Thank you!!

I have used cardstock and they have turned out awesome!!! Depending who they are going to, I have used just regular paper..

I think it would depend on how you want to use the letters. If you plan to frame them or put them in a scrapbook after I would print on photo paper or card stock. If you are just mailing them with no other use after I would use plain paper. :)

I definitely think I want to do something more sturdy that regular paper, so maybe cardstock is my best bet. Can you size them to print smalled than an 8.5"x11" though? I was thinking of printing it so that its about a letter sized page folded in half. Does that make sense?

The other idea I had was to upload them to Snapfish and have them printed on matte paper as a photograph in a 5"x7" size. Has anyone ever tried that?

Thank you!!!

Snapfish shouldn't print because of Disney copyrights. You can try but better to print yourself

I have done a lot of invitations and use card stock. I usually print them about 5X7. I print one per sheet. Then take them down to the local Kinko/Fed Ex store where I use their paper cutter, as it big, sharp and gives a more 'professional' look. I also use white envelopes 6X9. I have used the dissigners stamp and print the name on the envelop. The stamp design will tell me what the invitation is in the envelop.

Enjoy! The dissigners here do some amazing work.

I don't think you would have luck with either Walmart or Walgreens. I had problems printing off some of my wedding pictures that my dad took at Walmart, they kept insisting I show them a release form (he has a fancy camera but is not a professional) but did finally let me print them when I offered to have my dad bring in the sd card, but with Disney things I would bet they will be more strict, especially being bigger companies who are more concerned with liability and lawsuits.
