Me and my friend have always wanted to go to the boardwalk were all the entertainment and bakerys are etc and which way is the best way to go from the parks and how long will it take?
We aren't staying on a Disney resort but we know we can go there looks amazing!
What is actually on the boardwalk?
Thanks in advance guys!

Either take the bus from a park to the resort (times vary depending on the park) or walk there from Epcot or DHS (Its about a 12-14 min walk from the entrance of DHS and probably 5-7 min from Epcots international gateway exit/entrance.

you can take the bus to BW - now getting back to your car can be a problem depending upon how long you stay.

remember the buses only go back to the parks for an hour after the park closes.

would park at DD - (near the movie place) - and take the bus near it - this bus runs until 2am

See that's the problem we have we aren't hiring a car since we use the lynx bus service every year.
So if I walked from Epcot at maybe 6pm and if we left at 8am to walk back would that be a problem going back and how do I get there from Epcot again?
And also what's there at the boardwalk?
Thankyou for the quick replys and help!! :D

I assume you mean 8pm ... "walked from Epcot at maybe 6pm and if we left at 8am to walk back" ... a taxi cab is always an option too.

Yeah sorry I meant 8pm! :)
And yeah that's an option however we are on a budget and can't afford to splurge on cabs :(

how do I get there from Epcot again?

There are two Epcot entrances ... The main entrance and the one by the world showcase (International Gateway). from the main entrance you would make your way to the International Gateway through the main epcot park (Futureworld) heading toward the world showcase and turn right towards the canada and UK pavillions. The International Gateway is just past the UK pavillion but before the France pavillion. Once you exit, you can either take the boat to the Boardwalk or walk there ... to get to the BC/YC, keep walking straight, to get to the boardwalk take a left at the bridge and walk over to the BW.

And once I pass the uk pavilion but before the France one I can get to the boardwalk through there? Awesome we thankyouuuuuu :)

yep ... you sort of stay to the right ... dont go over the bridge to france or you've gone too far.

Right I've written this all down because known me I'd end up somewhere else and lost! Thankyou so much really helped and now I don't have to worry :)

All you need to do is ask a Cast Member and they will point you in the right direction :cool1:

the problem is that BW tends to take off - after 8pm and really comes alive when Epcot is closed.

would go one night when MK or Epcot is open late (EMH)- since you need the lynx transportation -

just take the bus from MK to BW and back again.

the only lynx that I know about goes to TTC -- do you use another one?

We got off the bus at Hollywood Studios and took a right to the Boardwalk versus walking left toward the Hollywood Studios gate. It didn't take us too long...it was a nice relaxing walk.

You can also take the boat from DHS :) as we took the boat on the way back to DHS from the Boardwalk.

The boardwalk wasn't nearly as big as we remembered.....it had been quite a few years since we first visited it but my husband and I both remembered it being bigger. Who knows.....maybe our memories of it were wrong.

Where will you be staying? That might help us tell you what the best transportation options are.

Assuming you will be relying on buses......I'd plan to visit the Boardwalk on a day you are at either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Very easy access to the Boardwalk from either park. From Epcot exit the International Gateway, then head left over the bridge to the Boardwalk. From Hollywood Studios I'd recommend the boat. From the Studios get off at the first stop at the Swan and Dolphin. Turn left off the dock, then another left and over the bridge to the entrance to the Boardwalk promenade. You can also walk from the Studios to the Boardwalk...about a 12 minute walk.

While at the boardwalk you can shop (Screen Door, candy store) and eat (numerous places, all types of food from junk to hot dogs to pizza to fancy sit down), grab a few drinks (Big River for beer, Belle Vue Lounge inside the Boardwalk Resort for full bar, ESPN Club if you like sports, Jellyrolls for the dueling piano bar, Atlantic Dance Hall if you want it loud and dancy), sit in the Boardwalk lobby, take in the entertainment they have on the Boardwalk in the evening, rent a surry bike, play carnival games (the lobsters are addictive, and the only carny game in all of Disney we do....sort of a tradition for us). Plenty to keep you busy for a couple of hours.....or longer, depending on how much you eat and drink while you are there.

Finish up by Hollywood Studios closing time, which will give you plenty of time to get back over to the Studios to catch a bus back to your resort.
