What's the best water bottle for kids in the parks

Kleen Kanteen Sport Bottle - 12oz -- and i love it b/c it has a loop that I can use with my mommy hook on our stroller! Its out of the way but I don't have to dig for it in the bottom of the stroller when he wants it.
and the opening is big enough to fill it with ice cubes to keep the liquid colder....since it is usually filled with water

We use the Klean Kanteen too, the only downside is that the sport top WILL leak if it's not closed properly, so if you just toss it in the bottom of the stroller there's a chance you'll go to take a sip and have no water left.

We always take a Thermos Funtainer. It keeps water cold for 12 hours and it is very sturdy! My DD loves hers and they have some with Disney characters. Last time we gave DD a princess one as a pre-trip souvenir. She still uses it daily. :cool1:

We use these as well. I've never had a problem with them leaking and they come with fun characters on them if your child likes that.

We used the Brita refillable bottles- they make kid and adult sizes. We even put cute little stickers to decorate them! Plus side about them- you can add a clip to your stroller and they already have a handle area so you can clip them on (its nice to not be on the bottom of all your stuff). I have heard the water is gross so I would recommend these since they filter out the taste. They are about $10-15, but if you start looking now you can catch them on sale- I got ours at Kmart for $8.

I don't have any experience for recommending specifically for kids, but I really love Vapur water bottles. They're plastic and can be put in the freezer, and folded up when they're empty. And I also like Klean Kanteen when I want to keep my water cold for hours.

I just back from a trip (2 adults, no kids) where we used the Vapur water bottles, and it was great. They took up almost no room in the suitcase, and stayed closed. They also had clips, so you could probably attach it to the stroller or a bag, and not have to worry about forgetting it or having it fall off.

We used the Vapur Shades Water Bottle and the Vapur 0.5 Litres Anti-Bottle

We use the thermos funtainers as well. They really keep the drinks colds, even in the summer.
We actually have four and use them for everything.

I echo above and add that we place a non-climbing carbineer/clip to the strap so that it can be attached to our belt if you need a hands free moment or clip to a bag strap. The Britta bottles work well for us. I travel with one everywhere. The make great airplane water bottles (filled post-security) and in the room for teeth brushing and other water needs.

Thanks for all of the great advice. Lots of good info here for some fun researching. Anyone just love this kinda thing? Seems silly, but I do! ;)

My kids each have these Nalgene sippy cups (same exact colors, actually lol). We bought them at Sportsman's Warehouse, though I'm sure you could get them at any sporting good store or online. There is a plug under the spout to keep it from spilling :thumbsup2

Second this - we love these! They are absolutely perfect for us, incl. 6yo.

1. Wide mouth cap - can easily fill with ice, then water
2. Sipper - no need to unscrew bottle cap on the go
3. Plug - no spills
4. Loop on Cap - can attach to bag strap with a carbiner clip
5. Shape - a standard can coozy fits on the bottle, then it doesn't sweat and the water stays colder longer (and also makes the bottle look less "babyish")
6. Durable - we have had several for several years, lots of use and no cracks or breakage to any of them
7. Lightweight - the Nalgene bottles are so much lighter than the metal insulated ones

I do wish they had a 16oz size (these are 12oz). That would be perfect. It's no big at DL since it's easy to swing in for ice refills on either side of the park. At CA the only refillable ice location is at Paradise Pier though, but since we always carry at least 2 (sometimes 3 on a HOT day), it's still fine. (We try not to get cups of water from the counter service places because then we're wasting the plastic cups.)

+1 for camelbak. we usu fill it with ice from the hotel on the way out. nice cooling effect on hot days. and if it's too heavy, easy enough to make the kids wear it :)

We also really liked the brita water bottles for our WDW trip. It filtered out the yucky tasting water in Orlando. Got the adult size for my husband and I and the kid size for my 5 and 2 year olds. Like someone else said, convenient at the airport to refill after security! We will use them for sure next year in DLR.
