What's the best DVC resort to stay at if you go to EPCOT? Is there an EPCOT monorail too?

What's the best DVC resort to stay at if you go to Epcot? Is there an Epcot monorail too? I think I heard you can walk to Epcot from the Boardwalk. But, besides the Boardwalk- are any of the monorail hotels a good option too? Sorry if I got this confused, but do you transfer from the monorail resorts to another monorail that goes straight to Epcot? TIA

The better DVC resorts for Epcot would be BCV, BWV and RIV. You can walk to Epcot's International Gateway from BCV (the closest) and BWV. RIV is a Skyliner ride away from the entrance.

The monorail resorts are actually better for the MK. You have to take the resort monorail to the TTC and transfer to the Epcot monorail to get to the front entrance of Epcot OR it's also possible to walk from Poly or VGF to the TTC and take the Epcot monorail from there.

Be sure to understand that you cannot access the EPCOT monorail from the EPCOT resorts without entering the park first... or taking a rideshare I suppose. The EPCOT monorail is at the front of the park and the resorts are at the back of the park without access to the front entrance.

If you know you are JUST going to Epcot, then nothing beats those Boardwalk resorts mentioned above. Walkable and if you really want, could also take the boat. Both take you to the International Gateway. We love that location.

Beach Club Villas are the closest DVC to Epcot - the pool (Storm Along Bay) is also considered one of, if not the, best pool at WDW.

Since no one’s mentioned it, Beach Club Villas, Riviera, and Boardwalk also provide easy access to the Studios. Riviera via the Skyliner, Boardwalk and Beach Club by boat or walking.

But Stormalong Bay can be a nightmare for families with small children or children who don't swim very well. Deep areas, swift currents, large areas where you cannot see the kids. It's far from my favorite swimming pool at WDW.

BCV are around a 5 minute walk to Epcot and BWV around an 8 minute walk, depending on where your room is located.

Staying at the Poly you can easily walk to the TTC and take the Epcot monorail. Morea is the closest building and a 5 minutes walk to the monorail (but it's the furthest away from the cerimonial house).
You can walk from VGF to TTC, but I've never done it, I think it's a 15-20 minutes walk. From BLT you need to change monorail at TTC, so it's not really very convenient.
