Just though everyone could tell stories and share the best deal you ever got on your Disney vacation! ....And do you think you'll ever get that deal again? Let's hope!

Ok, so last August six of us went. DM, DD(dad), DBF, DBFF and her DBF.
We paid $672 a person! Yes, that's it! $672 a person!!

This included:
*7 Magical Days at Pop Century
*7 Day Park Hopper Tix
*7 Days of the free Dining Plan
*Plus we calculated tips, etc. into this*
*Spirit Airfare, from Atlantic City, NJ to Orlando, FL (duh!)
-Roundtrip
-1 Checked Bag (there and back)
-Paying to sit by eachother on plane
*Plus Travelers Insurance

I believe I included everything in this...we also really didn't spend much on the actualy trip as far as souviners go.

So there you have it, less then $100 a day in Disney!
Think we'll ever be this luck again? :wizard:

I hope everyone has a great (cheap) experience to share!
I want to hear them all !! :surfweb:

3 of us went dec 18th-dec 25th in 2007 for $2150 total-- so about $700/person

7 nights Assp- $59/night
7 day PH tickets
7 days of food (including 3 sit down meals)
3 RT plane tickets- southwest IAD to MCO and jetblue MCO to IAD ($75 RT per person)
souveniers

Went last November. Myself, DH, my mom, DS3 and DS5mo.

Did a timeshare trade for the room. So, 7 nights in a 2BR villa at AKV. Room was $800 (our maintenance fee, exchange fee and mandatory Disney fee).

5 day tickets - $99 each with the military salute (we needed 4 since the baby was free)

Dining plan + tips $1200 (about)

Airfare $200/pp = $800 for all of us

That's about it - we didn't get many souvenirs and extras. So our total was about $3200 for everything. We did learn we didn't need the dining plan, so when we go in October this year, we're skipping that. We're also driving b/c my mom doesn't want to fly and my aunt lives halfway so we'll stop and visit her.

That's so awesome you got that great of a deal for Christmas! I'm so jealous now! I'm not having much luck getting back to this low of prices!

And best of luck to you on your weight loss, I'm working to get to 135 again as well.

:goodvibes

Hard to say because we bought 10 day no exp. tix in April 2008 and still haven't used them up. So we had 1 really expensive trip (we flew that time, too), then "cheap" trips after.

The least we ever paid for a room was $55/night at Pop, but that was five years ago and I can't remember what else we spent.

The least we've spent total was probably Thanksgiving 2008. Our package total was 1093.00 for 7 nights ASMu, free dining, a 1 day tix. Since it was our second trip that year, we didn't spend any $ on suvenirs. The kids spent some allowance $ and we paid around $300 for gas. So, adding in tips, a couple of McD's stops on the road, and rounding up...$1,600 max for the trip.

Should get 1 more trip before we have to think about park tickets again.

Last June we were emailed a code for free dining so for the five of us (all adults by Disney standards) for 10 days, saved $2000. Not bad at all.

Probably our best savings was just a luck of the draw though when we were supposed to stay at Shades of Green in 2002 at the gov't rate of $90 per night and instead we were relocated to the Contemporary and then got upgraded for free to the tower. It doesn't get much better than paying $90 per night (no tax) and staying in the tower, even though it didn't face MK. That is still a trip that my kids talk about all the time.

Last Sept was my best deal. We went with FIL and step MIL and our family of 5 stayed Value with free dining paid $960.00 for 7 days, which included 4 1 day tickets. I paid like an extra 85.00 for dd ticket since she stayed in in laws room. FIL is retired military, so we paid 600.00 for military 5 day hoppers with plus. I also got a great deal on flights and used 8 Air-Tran $25 coupons so round trip flights for the 5 of us was about 500.00. I used Disney rewards card for all tips and souvies, ate at T-rex with my points gift card and safari club all for no oop. So grand total of 2,145.00 we had a wonderful vacation. So basically 430.00 per person oop, but actually less because we have 5 1day passes for this year. I actually have done Disney for less, but this is our best deal vacation since we got so much for such a little price tag.

How do you get the emails for the free dining code?

If you mean me, lol, I wish I knew!! I've been registered at Disney.com forever - since when it was go.com and I never got anything by snail mail or email until last year. We weren't even going to stay on property. I had put a deposit on a 4 br pool house and then got the email for free dining so we changed everything. Free dining for 5 with 3 older teens was a big savings!

So far staying at the WL for six nights for $1200. I booked room only and went through Mei travels. I am sooo hoping for dining plan but am not holding my breath.

U indeed got the Pixie Dust. Am happy for you.

Last June DH and I were there for 7 days for $1200.00 each.

We received:

6 nights at Caribbean Beach Resort
6 day Park Hoppers
6 days of the QSDP with refillable mugs
Flights from DFW to Orlando and back
Trip Insurance

We feel that we got a great deal!

We've never booked a package as we find it a better deal for us to pay for dining, tickets (buy 10 day non-expiry tickets every other trip from undercovertourist using the mousesavers link, and use 5 days at parks, 1-2 days at waterparks, and 1-2 days at Sea World or Universal), room separately. We usually get a 40% off code somehow (public or PIN, at least for the last 5 trips anyways). I think last August's rate of $94 a night for a king size bed room at POR was a pretty good deal. We usually spend about $125 a day for the two of us for two TS meals a day and snacks, we also don't buy any souvies as I've never found anything I *had* to have. We also drive so that's maybe $200 round trip.
