What's the best day to go during Christmas week?

My brother in law will be going for one day with a 4 yr old and a 5 yr old. They want to do AK and MK. They will all have hoppers. Any suggestions which day would be best. We are staying (way) off site. Actually about 1.5 hours away. Our possible days to go are Monday 12/22-Thursday 12/25.

I would suggest Monday & Tuesday. The closer you get to xmas day the more crowded it will be. Try to get there early is the best advice I can give you. Keep in mind your travel time plus and hour to park, tram ride and then possibly another mode of transport before you get to the entrance of the park. Have them pick their top five rides and focus on those, use FPs. Once you get the top priority rides done the rest is just extra.

Thanks for the reply. I was planing on sending them on Tuesday 12/23. Do you think there's any danger of MK closing due to capacity that day?

This time of year I think it could be a possibility that MK would close to off-site guests. I would suggest that they go to MK first to assure that they will get in. Also have them get there right at opening, even though they will have to get up extra early because of the commute. They also need to take into consideration heavy Orlando and WDW traffic.

Dang it. They really wanted to do both parks (and I even bought a 3 day hopper for my daughter even tho they're only going for 1 day). Maybe they could do fantasyland in MK first thing in the morning and then hop to AK (that shouldn't be too crowded) and then back to MK after AK closes. I figure by that time, some people may have gone home. That way they could see some parades and the fireworks and go on some less popular rides. What do you guys think?
