What's that saying? Impatience is a virtue?

Well, I was planning on putting this new Premium AP to use on Thursday, but how could I wait that long when Disney was just calling my name? So when my husband woke up at 5:30 AM this morning and left for work, I couldn't sleep just thinking about getting up to DLR, so I got dressed and hit the road!

I had printed out my AP at home, and unfortunately did have to pay the $14 parking fee when I got there, but it was very quickly reimbursed to me once I got my AP card, which took all of two minutes.

The parks were DEAD today! Many FP machines weren't even on, and nothing had longer than a 10 minute wait, including Space Mountain. I got stuck on Buzz Lightyear and racked up a 600,000 point score since I was stopped in front of one of the moving targets for about four minutes. It said I made the Top Ten of the day, so I was pleased ;) Single rider lines were useful as always, but with lines only 5-10 minutes long if not less, they weren't the miracle that they could have been. On Soarin' and Screamin' though, I only had to wait literally 30 seconds before I was whisked away and put on the ride, and I had a huge grin feeling like a VIP.

The most interesting thing is that they were filming the Christmas parade for television today, and it lasted several hours and they took several takes. It was great for me, because so many people were crowded on Main Street to have a chance at being on television that the rest of the park was a ghost town!

I had lunch at Taste Pilots (BBQ Chicken Sandwich, very good), and a chocolate covered marshmallow skewer from Pooh, and used my pass on both things, even though they were less than $10. That combined with the giant cinnamon roll I brought back for DH, I saved a good $3 on food today, and that was just one meal really. When I start eating at PS places, I can really see how the savings add up!

All in all it was a good day! I'll get up there the first week of December to see IASWH and do some Christmas shopping :)

YAY AP! If anyone ELSE is on the fence about getting one, I hope this will push YOU over!

Oh, and P.S., there is still only one cat on the POTC lol, and no crab ;)

That sounds like SO much fun! I love un-crowded days...I'm glad you had a great time!

Oh what a great day! And so nice you live so close too! Woohoo!! You are gonna get some use out of that AP :)

Oh how I wish I could just decide that day to go...how fun!!!!! Enjoy that AP!

This is me being jealous! I miss the days when I could just hop in the car and head to Disneyland on a whim!
