I keep hearing from many peeps not to miss the Bill and Ted thing. I'm not doubting anyone, but really curious to know whats so special? Maybe a little detail. Thanks in advance.

It's a well written show, with lots of music, dancing, and raunchy jokes thrown in. The show topic is usually current events. You can expect to hear jokes about Iraq, Paris Hilton, Britney/Kfed, gas prices, and anything else that's been in the news the last year. Get there early, the seats fill up fast. If you wanna see what it's like, scroll down my page from last year and watch a few videos.

What's special about it? It's hilarious. The funniest theme park stage show you'll see anywhere (probably the raunchiest, too) although some years are definitely better than others. Last year's show was a highlight. The cast is made up of people and characters from the past year's pop culture and there's usually a basic plot (which ultimately gets ignored in favor of big dance routines for the finale.)

OK, so its a comedy thing, and not a horror thing?

Maybe it was all the rave reviews and build up I had read ahead of time, but Bill & Ted was pretty boring & tedious for us.

The show is just lots of stupid locker room jokes, low brow humor, and unoriginal sexual innuendo. It just sort of had a "this has been done a hundred times before and I don't really need to see it again" kind of feeling for us. We've got great senses of humor but I guess we were expecting something that was a bit more witty and a bit less devoted to getting a cheap laugh.

I'm sure the teenagers and young adults love it...I can see it being right up their alley.

where is the show located? this is the first that i have heard about all of this

If you don't enjoy immature humor, B&T is definitely not for you. With that said, I don't know what you were expecting... :confused3 The main characters are Bill & Ted, not James Lipton.

I thought last year's script was genius, regardless.

B&T is returning to the Fear Factor theater this year.

As I said, we were expecting something wittier. Immature humor can be great if it's creative and original! Totally predictable, recycled, cheap laughs are, well, kind of boring. Just our opinion mind you (and apparently that of most non-teen/20s, non-plastered people around us at these shows judging from their lack of enthusiasm).

If people like the show, great - go and enjoy. OP asked for info and I was merely sharing our experience of it being a letdown after all the build up about what comedy genius it was supposed to be.

it's not a night at the opera, thank god. Bill and Ted are a HHN tradition, you either get it or you don't. I'm happy to admit we get it. looking forward to who they skewer this year.

Sounds kinda like a Johnny Knoxville JackA$$ thing to me, I think I'll skip it. But thanks for the reviews.

Huh?

Anyway, Employee Preview was last night and this year's show has been getting very good reviews from those who've seen it, for anyone who is interested. I can't get anyone to divulge the cast though. I do know the POTC characters will be involved. Some of the guys who play Jack at Magic Kingdom also work for Universal, so this could be good.

I can't stand JackA$$. But found the B&T show to be quite funny. Its like anything in life some people will enjoy it and others won't. Give it a shot. Worse thing that can happen is you won't enjoy it and can leave. Judge it for yourself.

Its cool I'll keep an open mind about it, appreciate it.

Bumping to say I completely enjoyed the Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure. In my opinion, it definitely lived up to the hype! Two thumbs up! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Agree, this was my first year of "officially" seeing it in person instead of catching it on the 'net and it was very funny and overall just a great time.

I agree! It was a definite highlight of the evening and now my husband wants a Juggernaut costume. :rotfl2: Loved the music and the jabs at Tom Cruise! My favorite was the snakes, squirrles, and demon babies! We saw it 3 times. Very talented cast.

My favorite was the story behind the Universal 360 movie balls, very creative! Also, I really liked all the dialogue involving the green man. Although we only got to see it once, I did tape the whole thing. :teeth:

Last year's show was better, but this one was still good. The Tom Cruise, Superman and Pirates segments were my favorite parts.

when i think about hhn, bill and ted come to my mind immediately.

i saw B & T only 5 times on the weekend i went

after the first viewing of it, i said to a friend, last year's was better.
after seeing it a 3rd time with a different friend, i said, hey, this is better than last year's show.

the more i saw it, the better i liked it.

i always have to see the show each year at least 3 times

if you see it once and it's not your thing, try it one more time if you can.
sometimes you catch on to something else in its presentation that wows you.

it did for me.
