What's so great about Starbuck's???

I have never had anything from Starbuck's before. A brand new one opened next door to my new office so I would like to try it.

What a coincidence. I just NOW submitted a poll on Starbucks vs. Dunkin Donuts. The only thing I like about Starbuck's is the name. I think its a cool name.

If you like coffee, you will most likely LOVE Starbucks! Their cofffee tends towards the strong end of the spectrum, though.

I love their Mocha's. If you don't know, a Mocha is a shot (or two, depending on size) of expresso mixed with steamed milk and chocolate, toped with whip cream. Yum! I order it with skim milk, though, since whole milk gives me a tummy ache.

In hot weather, the Frappuccino's are great.

Now (winter) I love their lattes. My current favorite is the dolce cinnamon latte. I would never go before because it is so expensive; now I am sorry because I am hooked!

I love Starbuck's, right now you can still get the eggnog or pumpkin spice latte's......yummy! Otherwise, I usually get the tazo chai, extra hot....yummy again! Hmmmm...wonder if I have time to run and get one now...?

Do you like your cofee sweetened or not so sweet?
My favorite is a vanilla latte (kind of sweet but not sickly sweet) with a blueberry scone.
Sometimes the flavored lattes can be a bit sweet for me -but you can get 1/2 flavored 1/2 plain latte or you can order an extra shot of expresso in there so it is not so sweet.

MMMM, I'm with you on both those drinks! My DH, DD11 and I love the double chocolate chip Frappuccino's. DD6 likes the strawberry ones!
The Dolce Cinnamon lattes are quite yummy too!
I work at Barnes and Noble and we have a Starbucks attached, so that makes it pretty easy! Unfortunatly(or maybe fortunatly!) I don't get my discount at it. At the Barnes and Noble Cafe's, I get 50% off on food and drinks!

Im allergic to caffeine, so no coffee for me. Living in Seattle is it very hard to avoid Starbucks. A friend on mine turned me onto Carmel Apple Ciders. Now Im a Starbucks junkie!

lattes, mochas, I rarely get straight coffee but my DH does and I get to try his! My SIl got my started on the Vanilla Chai - but I have since found Pacific Chai at my local grocery - so i save my $ and Starbucks trips for mochas and such!

At Christmas - I love the eggnog lattes! I'll have to have my DD try the caramel cider!!!!

New Orleans is a very local-coffee-centric city, so Starbuck's has not really proliferated there as of yet. I honestly don't even know where the closest store was to where I used to live and work. But now because of Katrina, I am working about an hour outside the city and there just happens to be this new Starbuck's right next to my new office, so curiousity has gotten the best of me.

I'm not an everyday coffee drinker, I would occasionally have Cafe du Monde coffee but I just never searched out a Starbuck's. But with this one right next door, I have to give it a try.

I do like sweet coffees, and I love vanilla. Sounds great.

coffee Frapp w/ whipped cream for me, summer or winter, however only once in a great great while. Too expensive. too much calories
