What's so bad about Tony's

Go to the grocery store. Buy a frozen Chicken Parmagiana meal. Microwave for 5 minutes. Flip onto plate. Turn on Bella Notte music. Save $25.

That's pretty much what you get there. Last time there, the server literally returned with our meals 2 minutes after she left...

The food is just so average, I've ordered the Chicken Parm a couple times, every time the cheese on top is nearly cold, like it was pre-made and reheated. I've had pasta that was grossly overcooked. The is a lack of consistency. With that said, we still go there just because it is Lady and the Tramp themed, and we still like the restaurant. I might not have ordered the "right" thing, maybe there is better on their menu.

At least at Mama Melrose's I know they cooked my meal to order, it comes out hot and fresh.

I would rate this the worst table serve restaurant in WDW that I've been to. I agree with others that it seems like a frozen meal reheated. The kids wouldn't even touch their grilled cheeses. I'm not even sure how you can mess up a grilled cheese but they managed to do it!

I would give that dubious honor to Chef Mickey, but Tony's is not that far behind. :rotfl2:

We ate there maybe 15 years ago and it was decent, we had a pretty good meal. We ate there again a few years ago and it was blah! They need to revamp their menu or make a new sauce lol. The inside is cute though (but this is coming from a huge lady and the tranp fan)
In general I don't think Disney does Italian well, and I usually don't eat it there with the exception of Wolfgang pucks express, his sauce is pretty decent.

Not only is Tony's the worst restaurant in WDW but I'd say it's darn near close to the worst restaurant I've ever been to anywhere in the U.S. :(

You would be surprised how many places operate the way. How does Olive Garden serve the same things tasting the same way across the USA? Same for most any chain.

One trip I tried winging it. We were in MK in mid-March and it was packed. It was during the days of Fp- and I had gotten FPs for Space for a much later time than I had anticipated. Our plans had been to hop to Epcot for lunch and then come back for parades. Our inconvenient FP nixed that plan. The park was packed and the only restaurant with any availability was Tony's. DH was insistent on wanting a TS (we were there OOp). So we patiently sat through the 1 hr wait for standbys. I was impressed they had someone show the kids how to toss a pizza in the wait area plus there was a TV there.

The food was very decent. We stuck with spag and meatballs and had lots of fun taling pics to recreate the Lady and the Tramp scene. To this day, the kids have forgotten many pf the restaurants we have eaten in at Disney, but my DD will always remember the spaghetti scene :)

That is the very reason I do not frequent chain restaurants... Not a fan at all of the Olive Gardens, Applebee's, Red Lobsters and just about any other chain restaurant. Tony's reminds me of just that and taste like that and why I won't eat there.

Tony's had the most disappointing food of our entire trip. I didn't expect fancy Italian stuff, but how hard can it be to make a decent Margherita pizza? The dough wasn't pizza-like and the fresh basil was shreds of like only half a leaf. Wouldn't mind paying 10 dollars for this, but it ain't worth 19.
